Signed to active roster
The Chiefs signed Buechele from their practice squad to their 53-man roster Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Patrick Mahomes and Chad Henne are both healthy, so on the surface this comes as a surprising move. However, Yates reports that the Cardinals -- who currently have injuries to Kyler Murray (ankle) and Colt McCoy (pectoral) -- attempted to sign Buechele to their active roster, so the Chiefs are merely protecting their practice squad quarterback.

Gets chance on practice squad
The Chiefs signed Buechele to the practice squad Wednesday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports.
Analysis: Buechele will serve as an emergency option at quarterback behind Patrick Mahomes and Chad Henne for the Chiefs. The undrafted rookie out of SMU logged an impressive 57:16 TD:INT ratio during his final two collegiate seasons.
