Returning to action
Cooper (hamstring) is active for Monday night's game against the Chargers.
Analysis: Cooper has missed the team's last three contests , but his return should be a boost to the Broncos' linebacker depth, as well as their special-teams unit.

Returns to limited practice
Cooper (hamstring) logged a limited practice Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Cooper has missed each of Denver's last three games and this was his first practice in any capacity since suffering the injury. While his status remains unclear, Cooper's activity level ups the chance that he'll return against the Chargers on Monday while contributing primarily on special teams.

Remains out
Cooper (hamstring) will not play Thursday against the Colts, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Cooper will miss his third-straight game of the season, after not being able to practice all week once again. His next opportunity to return will be in Week 6 against the Chargers.

Out again
Cooper (hamstring) will remain sidelined for Sunday's contest against the Raiders.
Analysis: Cooper was a non-participant at practice all week, so this decision is not surprising. The absence will mark his second straight.

Out in Week 3
Cooper (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Analysis: Cooper suffered the injury during the week but was unable to practice Friday. He played primarily on special teams in the first two weeks of the season, so his absence isn't likely to affect the Broncos' defensive unit.

Avoids PUP list
Cooper will participate in training camp in a limited fashion as he recovers from finger surgery, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: As expected, the second-year linebacker's finger issue didn't hold him out long. As he continues to fully recover, Cooper will compete with fellow youngsters Malik Reed and Baron Browning for reps behind bona fide stars Bradley Chubb and Randy Gregory.

Not practicing yet
Cooper was present at practice but not participating Tuesday, as he's still recovering from surgery he underwent on his finger last week, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: There's no concrete timetable for Cooper's return to action at this point, but linebackers don't generally miss consequential time due to finger issues. This will likely resolve itself by training camp, and Cooper should slot right back into Denver's linebacker rotation come Week 1.

Returns from COVID list
Cooper was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Cooper has had a steady role as a rotational player in the Broncos' linebacker unit this season. Now out of protocols, he should continue that role Saturday against the Chiefs.

Lands on COVID list
Cooper (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Cooper tested positive for the virus, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. With Stephen Weatherly (illness), Baron Browning (illness) and Bradley Chubb (illness) all now on the COVID list and Kenny Young (concussion) questionable, the Broncos' linebacker depth will be tested Sunday against the Chargers.

Records five tackles in win
Cooper posted five tackles and recovered a fumble in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Lions.
Analysis: Cooper's five tackles were his most since Week 10. Following the trade of Von Miller, the rookie linebacker has seen his opportunities increase. Cooper has proven he can make impact plays on defense, like his fumble recovery against the Lions on Sunday. With that said, his inconsistency at this early stage of his career makes him difficult to trust for fantasy. The Broncos get a matchup with the Bengals in Week 15.

Records two sacks in win
Cooper recorded four tackles (three solo), including two sacks in Sunday's 30-16 win over Dallas.
Analysis: Cooper made the most of his opportunity Sunday following the trade of Von Miller to the Rams. The rookie linebacker's two sacks were his first of the season, as he demonstrated his ability to make impact plays. The 6-foot-3, 254-pounder will look to build off this solid performance when the Broncos host the Eagles in Week 10.

Healthy heading into season
Cooper (chest) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Analysis: Cooper underwent a heart procedure in the offseason, but he's evidently back to full health and practiced without limitations Wednesday. The 23-year-old linebacker will likely work in a reserve role for the Broncos in Sunday's season opener against the Giants.
