Secures 20-yard reception
Jones caught one of two targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 30-27 loss to Green Bay.
Analysis: Jones played a season-high 27 offensive snaps as the Jags' receiving corps was ravaged by injuries during Sunday's contest. The 26-year-old was targeted for the first time this season and should be more involved going forward with Christian Kirk (collarbone) out for the year. Jones could vault further up the depth chart in the short term since Brian Thomas (chest) and Gabe Davis (shoulder) are also banged up.

Another light snap count Week 7
Jones played 10 of the Jaguars' 61 snaps on offense and didn't draw a target in Sunday's 32-16 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Jones has suited up for each of Jacksonville's first seven contests, but the receiver hasn't exceeded 14 snaps in any contest and has yet to be targeted in the passing game. The Jaguars value Jones mostly for his contributions on special teams rather than offense.

Active for Week 3
Jones (foot) is active ahead of Monday night's matchup with the Bills.
Analysis: Jones appeared to have sustained a foot injury during the Jaguars' week of practice, but that issue won't stop him from suiting up for the team's Week 3 matchup with the Bills. Expect Jones to play almost strictly on special teams Monday night.

Pops up on injury report
Jones (foot) was a limited participant in Saturday's practice session and is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Buffalo, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Jones was a full participant Thursday and Friday, but he appears to have picked up a foot injury and is in jeopardy of missing Monday's game. He's played 34 of his 35 snaps on special teams through the first two games of the regular season and has not recorded a tackle.

No targets in season opener
Jones played one offensive snap and didn't receive a target during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: The 26-year-old re-signed with the Jaguars in mid-April but unsurprisingly saw most of his action on special teams in Week 1, as he played 16 snaps. Jones appears to be behind Parker Washington and Devin Duvernay on the depth chart at wide receiver, but none of that trio is likely to have offensive relevance if top wideouts Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas remain healthy.

Back in Jacksonville
The Jaguars re-signed Jones on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Analysis: Jones was an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, so the Jaguars had the option to retain him for 2024. The wideout appeared in all 17 games last season for the second straight year, finishing the campaign with an 11-83-0 line on 18 targets. He upped his offensive involvement from 145 snaps in 2022 to 339 due to injuries to Christian Kirk and Zay Jones during the year. Jones will again compete for a depth job this summer.

One catch in finale
Jones caught one of two targets for seven yards during the Jaguars' Week 18 loss to the Titans. He closed out the season with 11 receptions for 83 yards in 17 games.
Analysis: The 25-year-old played in all of Jacksonville's games for the second straight year and was a bit more involved in the offense, but it didn't result in notable production. Jones will be an exclusive rights free agent this offseason and could be back with Jacksonville for 2024, but he's unlikely to be anything more than a depth wideout.

No catches in blowout
Jones failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 26-0 win against the Panthers.
Analysis: The 25-year-old played 39 of 63 offensive snaps -- trailing only Calvin Ridley among the Jags' wideouts -- but was minimally involved in the passing game. Jones secured three passes for 32 yards last week in Tampa Bay but is otherwise catchless over Jacksonville's past seven games. He has limited upside even if Zay Jones (hamstring) sits out again in Week 18.

Catches three passes Week 16
Jones secured three of five targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 30-12 loss against Tampa Bay.
Analysis: The 25-year-old hauled in his first catch since Week 10 and now has 10 receptions for 76 yards this season. Jones is unlikely to be a relevant name for fantasy players, but he could continue to have an increased role if Zay Jones (hamstring) misses more time.

One target Monday
Jones failed to catch his lone target during Monday's 34-31 loss to Cincinnati.
Analysis: The 25-year-old seemed primed for an expanded role Monday after Christian Kirk (core muscle) suffered an injury on the first drive, but rookie sixth-round pick Parker Washington instead stepped up, catching six passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. Jones worked as Jacksonville's No. 3 wideout at times earlier this season but has just seven catches for 44 yards in 12 games, so he's not likely to be fantasy relevant even though Kirk is facing a multi-week absence.

Relegated to reserve role
Jones wasn't targeted during Sunday's 34-14 win against the Titans.
Analysis: The 25-year-old had an expanded role the past few weeks but wasn't involved in the passing game Sunday with Zay Jones (knee) back in action. Tim Jones is likely a couple injuries to Jacksonville's receiving corps away from having a notable role in the team's aerial attack.

Two receptions Week 10
Jones caught both of his targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 34-3 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: The 25-year-old didn't have a significant role in the aerial attack but played 56 percent of Jacksonville's offensive snaps since Jamal Agnew departed with a shoulder injury. Jones should operate at the Jags' No. 3 wideout this weekend against the Titans if Zay Jones (knee) and Agnew are unavailable.

Two catches Week 7
Jones caught both his targets for 17 yards during Thursday's 31-24 win against the Saints.
Analysis: The 25-year-old worked as Jacksonville's No. 4 wideout and played 14 of 56 offensive snaps. Jones hasn't significantly benefitted from Zay Jones' (knee) continued absence and is unlikely to have much of a role in the passing game going forward.

Catchless Week 5
Jones failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 25-20 win against the Bills.
Analysis: The 2021 UDFA played 23 offensive snaps but went without a catch for the first time since Week 2. Zay Jones (knee) aggravated his knee injury while Jamal Agnew played just 11 offensive snaps, but Tim Jones still had a minimal role in the passing game with Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley leading the receiving corps.

One catch in win
Jones caught his lone target for minus-one yard during Sunday's 23-7 win against Atlanta in London.
Analysis: The 25-year-old played 59 percent of the offensive snaps and operated as Jacksonville's No. 3 wideout with Zay Jones (knee) and Jamal Agnew (quadriceps) sidelined Sunday but had a minimal role in the passing game. Tim Jones played 63 offensive snaps across the past two games but has just three catches for 10 yards on the campaign, so he won't necessarily see an uptick in production even if Zay Jones and Agnew miss more time.

Set to serve as No. 3 wideout
Jones is expected to serve as the Jaguars' No. 3 receiver in Sunday's game against the Falcons in London with Zay Jones (knee) and Jamal Agnew (quadricep) inactive for the contest, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Analysis: While Zay Jones was sidelined during the Week 3 loss to the Texans, Tim Jones and Agnew shared the No. 3 receiver role, with the former recording a 2-11-0 line on three targets over 24 snaps and the latter finishing with a 4-49-0 line on five targets over 39 snaps. Behind starters Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk, the Jaguars have Jacob Harris and Parker Washington available as receiver depth, but the latter two have combined for just seven offensive snaps all season. With that in mind, Tim…read more

Two catches Week 3
Jones caught two of three targets for 11 yards during Sunday's 37-17 loss to Houston.
Analysis: The 2021 UDFA played just eight offensive snaps and wasn't targeted across the first two weeks of the season, but he played 24 snaps Sunday with Zay Jones (knee) inactive. Even if Zay Jones misses additional time, Tim Jones is unlikely to be a major factor in the offense if Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley remain healthy.

Two snaps Week 1
Jones played two offensive snaps during Sunday's 31-21 win at Indianapolis.
Analysis: The 25-year-old suited up as Jacksonville's No. 5 wideout with Elijah Cooks (coach's decision) and Parker Washington (coach's decision) inactive, but Jones' role was limited to special teams. He caught three passes for 30 yards while appearing in all 17 games last season and may have similar offensive production in 2023.

Secures lone target
Jones caught his only target for three yards during Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Lions.
Analysis: Jones played 11 offensive snaps and had his first catch since Week 7. The 24-year-old is unlikely to see more than occasional involvement in Jacksonville's offense while the team's top wideouts remain in good health.

Not targeted in Week 12
Jones played five of the Jaguars' 61 snaps on offense and went without a target in Sunday's 28-27 win over the Ravens.
Analysis: Jones has dressed in every game for the Jaguars this season, but he has logged only three targets in 11 contests and hasn't drawn a look from quarterback Trevor Lawrence since Week 7. He'll continue to have a muted role at receiver while all of Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, Marvin Jones and Jamal Agnew are available for Jacksonville.

Catches one pass
Jones caught his only target for seven yards during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: The 24-year-old worked as the Jaguars' No. 4 wideout with Jamal Agnew (knee) inactive but played only nine offensive snaps. Jones has caught two of three targets for 27 yards this year, and he's likely to remain a member of the game-day roster as long as he continues to play a role on special teams.

Sees playing time trend down
Jones took the field for just one of the Jaguars' 73 offensive snaps in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Jones a second-year player out of Southern Miss, played a season-high 26 snaps on offense in last week's loss to the Eagles, but he saw his field time drop off considerably Week 5 with Zay Jones (ankle) returning from a one-game absence. Though his role on the Jaguars' coverage units was able to help him avoid the inactive list, Tim Jones will continue to see few opportunities on offense while all of Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, Marvin Jones and Jamal Agnew are available to Jacksonville.

Signs futures deal
Jones signed a reserve/future contract with the Jaguars on Monday.
Analysis: Jones, an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss, signed a practice squad contract with the Jaguars at the end of September. However, he was never elevated for a game during the 2021 campaign.

Joins Jacksonville's practice squad
The Jaguars signed Jones to their practice squad Monday.
Analysis: Jones, an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss, spent the majority of training camp with the Jaguars' organization, but he was waived with an injury settlement before the initial 53-man roster deadline. It appears that the rookie is healthy and ready to make a case for a promotion to the active roster.
