Questionable to return
Dallas is considered questionable to return to Sunday's game versus the Bears due to a shin injury, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: The severity of Dallas' shin injury is unknown at this time. If he is unable to return, his absence is not expected to impact Arizona's offense, as he is primarily a special teams contributor.

Role contained to special teams
Dallas gained 23 yards on his lone kickoff return in Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: Dallas is the fourth running back on Arizona's depth chart behind James Conner, Emari Demercado and Trey Benson, and with all three players above him enjoying good health thus far, the Cardinals haven't needed Dallas' services on offense. All 106 of the snaps Dallas has played this season have come on special teams, where he's settled in as Arizona's top kickoff returner. Through seven games, Dallas has brought back 12 kicks for 378 yards and a touchdown, which came back in the season-opening…read more

Lands in desert
Dallas is set to sign a contract with the Cardinals, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Analysis: Dallas will stay in the NFC West after a four-year start to his career in Seattle. The 25-year-old is better known for his work as a return man than in the backfield and likely will be working to hold down return duties in Arizona.

Effective returner in 2023
Dallas rushed 16 times for 36 yards and caught six of nine targets for 26 yards across 17 games during the 2023 season. He returned 25 punts for 265 yards and 17 kicks for 440 yards (25.9 yards per return).
Analysis: Dallas finished 10th in the league among players with at least 15 punt returns with 10.6 yards per return, and he landed seventh among players with at least 15 kick returns with 25.9 yards per return. He's slated to be a free agent in March. Dallas could stick around with the Seahawks, but he'll have limited offensive impact as long as Kenneth Walker and/or Zach Charbonnet are healthy.

Left out of offensive rotation
Dallas didn't record an offensive snap in Monday's 20-17 win over the Eagles. He returned one punt for seven yards.
Analysis: Dallas was left out of the offensive rotation for the fourth time this season, as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet handled all the reps in Week 15. The fourth-year running back continues to be useful as a returner, but he's off fantasy radars until further notice.

One offensive snap in loss
Dallas didn't record a touch in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the 49ers. He returned two kicks for 53 yards and one punt for eight yards.
Analysis: Kenneth Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) were both active in this contest, so Dallas logged just one offensive snap. He'll remain the No. 3 running back until further notice.

Largest workload of 2023
Dallas rushed once for six yards and didn't haul in either of his two targets in Thursday's 41-35 loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: Dallas logged 25 offensive snaps in Week 13 because Kenneth Walker (oblique) was out and Zach Charbonnet (knee) left in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. Charbonnet's knee injury is being described as a bruise, and he'll have 10 days to recover. It's unclear if Walker will be ready for the Week 14 clash against the 49ers, though. If one of Charbonnet or Walker is healthy, managers shouldn't expect much out of Dallas for fantasy purposes.

Puts up 15 yards in loss
Dallas rushed twice for 10 yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Thursday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers. He also muffed a punt that the 49ers recovered.
Analysis: Dallas slotted in as the No. 2 running back behind rookie Zach Charbonnet while Kenneth Walker (oblique) was inactive for the first time all season. Charbonnet ended up serving as a workhorse out of the backfield, limiting Dallas to just eight offensive snaps. It's unclear if Walker will be ready for the Week 13 matchup versus the Cowboys, but regardless, Dallas won't have much fantasy utility.

Churns out 14 yards
Dallas rushed once for four yards and caught his lone target for 10 yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Rams. He also returned two punts for 25 yards.
Analysis: Dallas played his first offensive snaps since Week 7 because Kenneth Walker left in the first half with an oblique injury. Rookie Zach Charbonnet was the clear workhorse following Walker's injury, turning 15 carries into 47 yards and catching all six of his targets for 22 yards. It sounds like Walker is trending in the wrong direction ahead of Thursday's matchup against the 49ers, and if he does sit out, Dallas will factor in as the No. 2 running back behind Charbonnet again.

No offensive work in win
Dallas didn't log an offensive snap in Sunday's 29-26 win over the Commanders. He returned two punts for 14 yards.
Analysis: Dallas battled a shoulder injury during the practice week, but that's probably not the reason he was left out of the offensive rotation. After all, the fourth-year running back hasn't played an offensive snap since Week 7, as rookie Zach Charbonnet has claimed an increased role in the offense instead.

Ready to suit up Sunday
Dallas (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against Washington.
Analysis: Dallas was a limited participant during practice Week 10 as he tended to a shoulder injury. The 25-year-old will now be ready to play his ninth game for the Seahawks this season, though he's largely been invisible on offense during the team's previous eight contests. Expect Dallas to contribute primarily on special teams while adding depth behind running backs Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.

Questionable for Week 10
Dallas (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Dallas hasn't played an offensive snap since Week 7 and has touched the ball just nine times for 25 scoreless yards on the season. He was a limited participant in practice in the Seahawks' first two Week 10 sessions, but according to Brady Henderson of ESPN.com, head coach Pete Carroll suggested Dallas looks on track to play. If active Sunday, Dallas would fill a depth role behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet and would likely get most of his opportunities on special teams.

Practices Thursday
Dallas (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: The running back and punt returner hurt his shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Ravens. Dallas' status in Friday's practice should help determine whether he plays Sunday against the Commanders. Dallas has five carries for 14 yards and four catches for 11 yards from scrimmage this season.

Misses practice, will try to play
Dallas (shoulder) sat out practice Wednesday, but head coach Pete Carroll said the running back will try to play Sunday versus Washington, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Analysis: Dallas hurt his shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Ravens and needed help getting off the field after a punt. Carroll said Monday that the 25-year-old was still "pretty sore," but the coach then said Wednesday that Dallas was "bouncing around" while catching punts and running around during Wednesday's walkthrough. Dallas will try to play Week 10 against the Commanders, and if he's able to do so, he should again serve as the Seahawks' primary punt returner.

Feeling sore Monday
Head coach Pete Carroll indicated Monday that Dallas (shoulder) is "pretty sore," but he is still optimistic of the running back's chances to return without missing time, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Analysis: Carroll also stated the team will take a wait-and-see approach in regards to the injury as the week progresses, according to Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune. Dallas saw 13 special-teams snaps (50 percent) prior to exiting Sunday's loss to the Ravens.

Questionable to return
Dallas suffered a right shoulder injury during Sunday's game against the Ravens and is questionable to return, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Analysis: The running back needed trainer assistance to get off the field after a punt, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times. Dallas returned two punts for nine yards before exiting. The fourth-year pro has played more on special teams than on offense in 2023.

No offensive snaps in win
Dallas didn't log an offensive snap in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Browns. He totaled 15 yards on two punt returns.
Analysis: Dallas lost his kick-return duties in Week 8 with Dee Eskridge returning to the lineup. He has averaged 12.7 yards per punt return this season, which ranks fourth in the league for players with more than 10 returns. He should retain active status each week, but his fantasy utility will be negligible as long as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are healthy.

Held to one catch versus Arizona
Dallas caught his lone target for no gain in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Cardinals. He also returned a kick for 24 yards and four punts for 47 yards.
Analysis: Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) was inactive, making Dallas the No. 2 running back behind Kenneth Walker. Dallas handled just 14 offensive snaps (23 percent) compared to Walker's 48. The 2020 fourth-round pick continues to impress as a punt returner, but his fantasy utility is negligible as long as either Walker or Charbonnet are healthy.

Primed for No. 2 role
Dallas is expected to serve as the Seahawks' No. 2 back Sunday against the Cardinals with Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) listed as questionable but not in line to be active for the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Kenneth Walker will remain Seattle's lead back and could take on a slightly larger share of the snaps and touches out of the backfield with his top backup out of the mix, but Charbonnet's expected absence clears the way for Dallas to at least have a change-of-pace role in the offensive game plan. Just four snaps on offense Week 6
Dallas hauled in his lone target for minus-1 yard Sunday in the Seahawks' 17-13 loss to the Bengals.
Analysis: Dallas took the field for just four of the Seahawks' 74 snaps on offense, with starter Kenneth Walker (56 snaps) and Zach Charbonnet (18 snaps) handily outpacing him in playing time. Both Walker and Charbonnet should remain the clear-cut top two options out of the backfield while they're healthy, limiting Dallas to little more than spot duty out of the backfield. Four offensive snaps against Giants
Dallas didn't record a touch in Monday's 24-3 win over the Giants. He returned one kick for 30 yards and a punt for 23 yards.
Analysis: Dallas is averaging 16.4 yards per punt return this season, which ranks fourth in the league among players with at least five attempts. He is barely playing on offense, however, as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet were the only running backs to receive touches Monday.

Three touches in win
Dallas recorded two carries for seven yards and caught his only target minus-2 yards in Sunday's 37-27 win over the Panthers. He also totaled 55 yards on two kick returns and 41 yards on three punt returns.
Analysis: Dallas has yet to play more than nine offensive snaps in a game this season. He has been quite effective as a returner thus far, but his offensive usage will remain limited now that Zach Charbonnet is ramping up as the No. 2 option behind Kenneth Walker.

Will play Sunday
Dallas (illness) is active Sunday against the Panthers.

Questionable for Week 3
Dallas (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Analysis: Dallas was a new addition to the injury report Friday, and he won't have much time to get over this illness before the Panthers come to town Sunday. He has only four touches on offense behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet in the backfield through two games, but Dallas has also been operating as the team's top return man on special teams. Dallas rushed twice for four yards and caught his lone target for 14 yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Rams. He also returned one kickoff for 34 yards and one punt for 18 yards.

Makes 53-man roster
Dallas earned a spot on the Seahawks' 53-man roster.
Analysis: Dallas' role wasn't guaranteed, as he has never played more than 188 snaps in a season through three years in the league. Falls flat in preseason start
Dallas rushed twice for one yard and wasn't targeted in Thursday's 24-13 preseason win over the Vikings.
Analysis: Dallas got the start in Seattle's preseason opener but failed to find any running room before giving way to rookie second-round pick Zach Charbonnet, who turned six touches into 28 scrimmage yards. Charbonnet's expected to beat out Dallas for the backup spot behind Kenneth Walker (groin), but Dallas could close the gap if he posts a stronger performance in the second preseason game, which will be against the Cowboys on Aug. 19.

Best rushing season
Dallas carried 35 times for 186 yards and caught 17 of 19 targets for 126 yards through 15 games during the 2022 season. He also returned 14 punts for 102 yards and 12 kicks for 270 yards.
Analysis: When the whole backfield was healthy, Dallas was often left out of the rotation, but when Rashaad Penny (leg) and Travis Homer (ankle) went down with injuries, Dallas got some run and was effective. After posting 3.2 and 4.2 yards per carry, respectively, through his first two NFL seasons, Dallas logged an efficient 5.3 yards per carry in 2022. Dallas is entering the final year of his contract in 2023 and is a good bet to make the team, especially if Homer and Penny leave in free agency.

Suiting up in wild-card round
Dallas (ankle/quadriceps) is listed as active Saturday at San Francisco.
Analysis: Despite being capped to a pair of limited practices before this wild-card matchup due to ankle and quad injuries, Dallas will be available to the Seahawks offense. With Travis Homer (ankle) on injured reserve, Dallas doesn't have much competition for reps behind starting running back Kenneth Walker, as Godwin Igwebuike is the only other option that's active Saturday. Dallas (ankle/quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card game in San Francisco, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Prior to Seattle handing him a designation, Dallas missed Tuesday's walkthrough before sitting out again Wednesday due to ankle and quadriceps injuries. He's been able to play in each of the past three games with little to no practice reps, and Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reported Tuesday that there's an expectation that Dallas plays this weekend. Analysis: Dallas has kicked off preparations for Saturday's wild-card game in San Francisco with two straight absences, but there's an expectation that he'll be able to suit up this weekend, per Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune. A return to the practice field Thursday would be a step in the right direction for Dallas, but Thursday's injury report will reveal as much. Minimal role in win
Dallas rushed twice for 29 yards and caught his lone target for a three-yard loss in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams. He also returned two punts for 24 yards.
Analysis: In the must-win game, rookie Kenneth Walker played a whopping 61 offensive snaps while Dallas played just 11. This may be a peek into how the duo will split reps during the postseason, but Dallas is a skilled pass catcher that will be useful if the Seahawks fall behind in Saturday's wild-card game versus the 49ers.

Dallas (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Analysis: Even though Kenneth Walker and Dallas both didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, the two running backs will approach the weekend without a designation after both logged some reps during Friday's session. Walker was a full participant in the workout, while Dallas was limited, but the latter still looks like he'll be in strong position to serve as the top change-of-pace option behind the former. Just short of 100 scrimmage yards
Dallas carried the ball seven times for 43 yards and caught three of four targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 23-6 win over the Jers.
Analysis: The running back put together the best game of his career, nearly reaching 100 scrimmage yards for the first time in a game and leading the Seahawks in receiving yards on the day. Cleared to play again
Dallas (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jets, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Analysis: Dallas returned from a two-game absence last week and caught six passes for 32 yards in a 24-10 loss to the Chiefs. He's unlikely to see that many targets even if he handles passing downs again, though there is a degree of opportunity with fellow Seattle running backs Kenneth Walker (ankle) and Travis Homer (ankle) listed as questionable. Analysis: Dallas was joined by Seattle's No. 1 running back Kenneth Walker (ankle) as limited after the latter missed Wednesday's session, while Travis Homer (ankle) has yet to practice this week. As a result, Dallas appears to be the better bet to get work behind Walker this Sunday against the Jets, assuming both are active and Homer is inhibited or sidelined. Returns from ankle injury
Dallas (ankle) rushed twice for 10 yards and caught all six of his targets for 32 yards in Saturday's 24-10 loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: Dallas returned from an ankle injury that cost him two games, promptly reclaiming his role as the team's receiving back behind starter Kenneth Walker (26/107/0). The latter jammed his already banged-up ankle on a couple of runs Saturday, but head coach Pete Carroll confirmed that his starter made it through the game in one piece. Dallas (ankle) is listed as active Saturday at Kansas City.
Analysis: The same can be said for fellow running back Kenneth Walker, who didn't practice all week due to an ankle injury and what coach Pete Carroll referred to as back spasms. Dallas himself has missed the last two games with a high-ankle issue, something that kept him to limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday. While Dallas appears to be healthier than Walker at the moment, an available Walker likely will be the headliner out of Seattle's backfield Saturday, with Travis Homer and Dallas as the…read more

Return likely Saturday
Coach Pete Carroll said Thursday that Dallas (ankle) is slated to play Saturday in Kansas City, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Dallas suffered a high-ankle sprain Week 13 at the Rams, which so far has forced two consecutive absences. He was able to get back on the field Wednesday as a limited participant and maintained that activity level Thursday, with the Seahawks listing him as him as questionable for Week 16 action. Carroll expects both Dallas and Kenneth Walker (ankle/back) to be active Saturday, something that'll be confirmed about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If the proceeding comes to pass, Walker…read more

Questionable for Saturday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game in Kansas City, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: While the team's No. 1 running back Kenneth Walker (ankle/back) didn't practice Tuesday or Wednesday, Dallas followed up Tuesday's absence with a limited showing one day later. Dallas thus appears to be in a better spot, health-wise, than Walker heading into the weekend, while Travis Homer is the sole healthy member of the backfield on Seattle's active roster. In the end, the state of the position group will gain some clarity once the Seahawks post their list of inactives about 90 minutes…read more

Returns to practice Wednesday
Dallas (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: The limited session marks Dallas' first official on-field work since suffering an injury Week 13 that head coach Pete Carroll called "somewhat of a high-ankle issue" at the time, per Boyle. Dallas predictably has missed two outings as a result, but his return to drills Wednesday may indicate that a return to game action is possible Saturday at Kansas City. Thursday's injury report could be telling for his chances to do so, which also can be said for the Seahawks' top running back Kenneth Walker…read more

Non-participant at walkthrough
Dallas (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Analysis: Dallas has been sidelined for the Seahawks' previous two games and is in danger of missing a third. He will presumably need to get in some work at practice this week in order to get the green light for Saturday's game against Kansas City. No. 1 running back Kenneth Walker (ankle) was also a non-participant Tuesday, which leaves Travis Homer and Tony Jones as the only healthy backs on the depth chart.

Sitting out again Thursday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as inactive Thursday against the 49ers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: After not practicing at all during Week 15 prep, Dallas will miss a second consecutive game due to an ankle injury. With Kenneth Walker (ankle) back in action after sitting out this past Sunday against the Panthers and Tony Jones a healthy scratch Thursday, Travis Homer and Godwin Igwebuike will be the candidates to get reps behind the workhorse running back. Dallas' next chance to play is Saturday, Dec. 24 at Kansas City.

Questionable for Thursday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against San Francisco, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: His status is of less interest for fantasy purposes now that Kenneth Walker (ankle) doesn't have a game designation. Dallas and Walker both missed Sunday's loss to Carolina, which allowed Travis Homer to step into the lead role. Homer played 91 percent of the offensive snaps, yet he had only 11 touches.

Sits out another practice
Dallas (ankle) was listed as a non-participant at Tuesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dallas seemingly isn't trending toward a return from a one-game absence to play in Thursday's game against the 49ers, as he hasn't taken any reps in either of Seattle's first two Week 15 sessions. On a positive note for the Seahawks, Kenneth Walker (ankle) --who joined Dallas on the sideline for last week's loss to the Panthers -- put in a full practice Tuesday and appears to be trending toward a return. DNP on practice estimate
Dallas (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Repeating how he began last week before not playing Sunday against the Panthers, Dallas wouldn't have practiced Monday if the Seahawks had held a session. At the same time, Kenneth Walker was tabbed as limited Monday, a notable sign of progress in his recovery from his own ankle injury. Not playing Sunday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Panthers.
Analysis: With Dallas joining top running back Kenneth Walker (ankle) on the Seahawks' inactive list for Week 14, some combination of Travis Homer, Tony Jones and Godwin Igwebuike will cover for them out of the team's backfield Sunday. Dallas and Walker now will set their sights on gaining clearance to play again Thursday versus the 49ers, with injury reports Monday through Wednesday potentially revealing whether or not they have a chance to suit up Week 15.

Not expected to play Sunday
Dallas (ankle) isn't in line to play Sunday versus the Panthers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The same can be said for the Seahawks' top running back, Kenneth Walker (ankle), according to Fowler. While both are game-time decisions, Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff isn't exactly appealing for managers looking for alternatives. Assuming Walker and Dallas are included among the team's inactives, Seattle will be down to Travis Homer, Tony Jones and practice-squad member Godwin Igwebuike in Week 14.

Officially questionable for Sunday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus Carolina, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Coach Pete Carroll said Friday that Dallas and fellow tailback Kenneth Walker were both considered to be game-day decisions, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Seattle also activated Godwin Igwebuike from its practice squad to the active roster Saturday, signaling that the team believes there's a good chance one of either Walker or Dallas won't be available Sunday. Game-time decision for Week 14
Head coach Pete Carroll said that Dallas (ankle), who is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Panthers, is considered a game-day decision, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dallas and lead back Kenneth Walker (ankle) were both labeled as game-day decisions after failing to practice in any capacity Wednesday through Friday. The lack of practice activity doesn't bode well for Dallas' chances of playing against Carolina, but the Seahawks will presumably wait and see how he feels after an early workout Sunday before making a call on his status ahead of the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Status uncertain for Week 14
Dallas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Seattle could be shorthanded in the backfield this weekend, as both Dallas and lead option Kenneth Walker are carrying questionable tags into Sunday after both players' ankle injuries kept them off the practice field Wednesday through Friday, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Dallas (ankle) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Both Dallas and Kenneth Walker haven't mixed into drills through two opportunities to do so during Week 14 prep as they deal with their respective recoveries from ankle injuries. At the same time, Travis Homer (knee) went from limited Wednesday to all activity Thursday, making him the best bet of the trio to be available to the Seahawks backfield Sunday versus the Panthers. Meanwhile, both Travis Homer (knee) and Tony Jones will take part in some capacity to begin Week 14 prep. Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Dallas has "somewhat of a high-ankle issue," John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dallas worked as Seattle's leading rusher during Sunday's win over the Rams, a contest which he managed to close out despite injuring his ankle on the final play before halftime. Kenneth Walker (ankle) left the game in the second quarter but isn't ruled out for Week 14 after undergoing an MRI on Monday, while Travis Homer (illness/knee) was inactive Sunday. Leading rusher in Sunday's win
Dallas carried the ball 10 times for 37 yards and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Rams.
Analysis: The Seahawks' backfield was a revolving door, as Kenneth Walker left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury only for Dallas to get shaken up on the final play before halftime. That left Tony Jones as the last man standing at running back for Seattle, but when Jones exited on the second drive of the second half after taking a hard hit, Dallas checked back in and the duo split snaps the rest of the way. Dallas rushed once for two yards and caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 40-34 overtime loss to the Raiders.

Dallas didn't record an offensive touch in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants. He did return two punts for 16 yards.

Efficient runner in win
Dallas rushed six times for 35 yards and caught both of his targets for six yards in Sunday's 37-23 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: Dallas logged 19 snaps in Week 7 and touched the ball eight times, but rookie second-round running back Kenneth Walker stole the show with 168 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Walker will be the clear-cut No. 1 running back as long as he's upright. Dallas has some fantasy utility as insurance in case Walker gets hurt, but Travis Homer's (ribs) eventual return will reduce Dallas' value further.

Dallas rushed twice for one yard in Sunday's 19-9 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: With Rashaad Penny (leg) out for the season, Dallas operated as the No. 2 back behind rookie second-round pick Kenneth Walker, who logged 23 carries for 110 yards and a touchdown. Dallas was on the field for 23 of 68 offensive snaps while Walker handled 47 snaps. Analysis: Rashaad Penny rumbled for 151 yards on 17 touches, and rookie Kenneth Walker recorded 24 total yards on nine touches, leaving little work for Dallas. Going forward, Dallas will be the No. 3 running back until Travis Homer (ribs) returns from injured reserve, which will be Oct. 30 against the Giants, at the earliest.

Dallas rushed three times for 21 yards and caught both of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Falcons. He also returned two kickoffs for 52 yards.
Analysis: Dallas recorded a season-high 15 offensive snaps because Travis Homer (ribs) left early. If Homer misses any time, Dallas will continue to handle an increased role, specifically on passing downs. Dallas rushed five times for 15 yards and caught four of five targets for 52 yards in Thursday's 27-11 preseason loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Dallas couldn't get going on the ground like his backfield mate Travis Homer, who carried five times for 44 yards. The two both have a good chance to make the roster, especially because Kenneth Walker (hernia) is suddenly uncertain for Week 1. However, Homer has been handling more reps with the first-team offense during the preseason, and his pass-blocking acumen gives him the edge over Dallas.

Effective in second half
Dallas rushed 10 times for 73 yards and caught his lone target for a 17-yard touchdown in Saturday's 32-25 preseason loss to the Steelers. He also returned two kicks for 41 yards.
Analysis: Dallas didn't play on offense until the second half, as he was the third Seahawks running back to take the field after rookie Kenneth Walker and Travis Homer. As it stands, Dallas and Homer are competing for the No. 3 running back spot, which will focus mostly on third downs, and Homer seemingly has the edge because of his pass-blocking ability. Analysis: Dallas rushed 33 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns and reeled in 21 of 23 targets for 133 yards last season. However, he was out-snapped by Homer, with the latter player's greater reliability in pass protection earning him more work. Rarely utilized on offense in 2021
Dallas finished the 2021 season with 33 carries for 138 yards and two touchdowns and 21 catches (23 targets) for 133 yards through 17 games. He also recorded 764 yards on 33 kick returns.

Dallas (quadriceps) was a full practice participant Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dallas came out of the Seahawks' Week 17 win against the Lions with a bruised thigh, but it was revised to a quad issue upon the release of Wednesday's injury report. With an uncapped session under his belt, Dallas seems to be past the health concern. Rashaad Penny has dominated touches in Seattle's backfield lately and racked up 170 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in this one. Finds end zone in loss
Dallas rushed eight times for 41 yards and a touchdown while catching three of four targets for 11 more yards in Tuesday's 20-10 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Dallas appeared to have fallen out of favor after seeing just two touches last week while Rashaad Penny dominated on the ground. Head coach Pete Carroll reverted to a timeshare between the two backs, and Dallas turned out to be the better option from a fantasy perspective. Penny figures to see more action in games that the Seahawks either go up early in or dominate the time of possession in. However, Carson's absence could open the door slightly for Dallas, who has logged just four offensive snaps this season. Dallas should still be the No. 3 option in this rotation, however.

Stays out of offensive game plan
Dallas didn't record an offensive snap in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Vikings, but he did return one kick for 21 yards.
Analysis: Dallas isn't handling any offensive work even though Rashaad Penny (calf) is out of the lineup. Penny could return in Week 4 against the 49ers, so Dallas can be safely left off fantasy rosters.

No offensive work Sunday
Dallas didn't record an offensive snap in Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Titans.
Analysis: Chris Carson (34), Travis Homer (14) and Alex Collins (six) handled all the backfield snaps. Dallas recorded 30 yards on three kick returns. He doesn't have a clear path to backfield reps barring an injury ahead of him on the depth chart.

Just three offensive snaps Sunday
Dallas rushed once for five yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Colts.
Analysis: Dallas was one of four running backs to suit up for the season opener, as Alex Collins was a healthy scratch. However, even when Rashaad Penny left with a calf injury, Dallas finished with just three offensive snaps. Travis Homer logged two, and Chris Carson managed a whopping 42 (78 percent). Dallas and Homer likely have minimal fantasy value as long as Carson is upright.

Survives cutdown day
Dallas was one of five running backs to make the Seahawks' 53-man roster, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Dallas may be the Seahawks' best route runner out of the backfield, and his preseason work as a returner likely helped guarantee him a role on the 53-man roster. However, he'll still struggle to earn much playing time on offense, as Travis Homer is considered the team's best pass-blocking running back, while Rashaad Penny and Alex Collins are the next men up behind Chris Carson.

Impresses as returner
Dallas caught all three of his targets for 27 yards and returned two kicks for 73 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: Dallas didn't run the ball at all, but he showed flashes as a pass catcher and returner. The Seahawks likely won't provide Dallas with much backfield work as long as both Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny are healthy. However, Dallas' impact on special teams -- he blocked a punt Saturday as well -- and his receiving abilities make him a strong candidate for the No. 3 role. Alex Collins and Travis Homer (calf) are his primary competition.

Stands out in preseason loss
Dallas rushed five times for 24 yards, secured both of his targets for 45 yards and a touchdown, and returned two kickoffs for 55 yards in the Seahawks' 20-7 preseason loss to the Raiders on Saturday night.
Analysis: The University of Miami product made an excellent impression in his bid to win the third-down back role, with his 43-yard touchdown grab early in the third quarter offering a tangible reminder of his pass-catching acumen. Dallas easily outshined one of his primary competitors in Alex Collins during Saturday night's game, while Travis Homer (calf) remains on the PUP list and is therefore missing out on opportunities to make his own case for the job. Competing for third-down role
Dallas could be a candidate for a role as Seattle's third-down back if his pass-blocking skills show improvement, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: As long as Chris Carson is healthy, Dallas likely won't receive many carries. Even if Carson gets hurt, both Rashaad Penny and Alex Collins will likely the next men up to lead the ground game. While Dallas profiles as the best route runner in the backfield, his pass-blocking skills weren't good enough last year to earn him much playing time. As it stands, Travis Homer (calf) likely still has the edge on third-down duties because he has adequately protected Russell Wilson in the past. Homer is…read more

In mix for backup job
Dallas will compete with Rashaad Penny, Travis Homer and Alex Collins for depth roles behind Chris Carson in the Seattle backfield, Brandon Gustafson of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Analysis: A fourth-round pick last spring, Dallas finished his rookie year with 34/108/2 on the ground and 17/111/1 on 20 targets, playing 12 of 16 regular-season games. He even made starts in Weeks 8 and 9 when both Carson and Carlos Hyde (now with Jacksonville) were injured, with those two games accounting for all three TDs on the year. However, Dallas managed just 72 rushing yards and 25 receiving yards between the two starts, and he averaged only 3.2 YPC for the year. He could now compete with Penny…read more

Minimal usage as rookie
Dallas carried 34 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns and caught 17 of 20 targets for 111 yards and a touchdown over 12 games in the 2020 season.
Analysis: Dallas started Weeks 8 and 9 because both Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde were out with injuries, and he produced 97 yards from scrimmage and three total scores between those two games. When Carson and Hyde were healthy this year, Dallas was often left out of the game plan or scratched. His 3.2 yards per carry isn't exciting, but the Seahawks favored Dallas over Travis Homer (knee) in the run game. Dallas is listed as inactive for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Rams.

Dallas (ankle) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Analysis: Dallas is back to full speed less than three weeks removed from suffering a Grade 3 ankle sprain. The rookie fourth-rounder will be available for Saturday's wild-card game against the Rams, but he'll likely stick to a special-teams role, as both Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny are also healthy. The trio will serve in a change-of-pace role behind bell cow Chris Carson (foot).

Dallas (ankle) was a limited participant at Tuesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dallas practiced for the first time since suffering a Grade 3 ankle sprain in Week 15. The Seahawks won't rush the rookie back because they have enough backfield depth now that Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny are both healthy ahead of Saturday's wild-card game against the Rams. Chris Carson (foot) will command a lion's share of the workload even if Dallas does suit up.

Dallas (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.

Dallas (ankle) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dallas appears unlikely to play in the season finale against the 49ers. It's unclear how the Seahawks' backfield will shape up in Week 17, as every running back on the active roster is on the injury report. Dallas (ankle) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dallas is recovering from the Grade 3 ankle sprain he suffered in the Week 15 win over Washington; it seems unlikely that he plays in the season finale against the 49ers. Dallas (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: The 22-year-old sustained a Grade 3 ankle sprain during last week's win over Washington, so it's no surprise to see him ruled out this weekend. Dallas may also be sidelined for the final game of the regular season next week. Rashaad Penny should continue to work as Seattle's No. 3 running back down the stretch.

Sits out Thursday's practice
Dallas (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: Dallas emerged from this past Sunday's win at Washington with a Grade 3 ankle sprain, which seems likely to keep him sidelined for the rest of the regular season. Plus, Dallas is buried on Seattle's running back depth chart with Rashaad Penny back from IR, so the rookie fourth-rounder isn't necessarily needed at the moment.

Dallas (ankle) was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dallas was diagnosed with a Grade 3 ankle sprain following this past Sunday's 20-15 win over Washington, so his absence from practice isn't surprising. He should be considered a long shot to play in Week 16 against the Rams. If he's indeed out, Chris Carson (foot), Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny will be the only running backs suiting up.

Nursing Grade 3 sprain
Dallas suffered a Grade 3 ankle sprain during Sunday's 20-15 win over Washington, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The rookie fourth-round pick is dealing with a serious ankle sprain, an injury that will likely cause him to spend a multi-week stint on the sideline. That leaves Seattle a bit shallow for running back depth with Travis Homer (knee) already on IR, but the team does have three quality options remaining in the form of Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny.

Diagnosed with sprained ankle
Dallas suffered a sprained ankle during Sunday's 20-15 win over Washington, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Dallas underwent an X-ray after being carted off the field Sunday, but he received encouraging news by avoiding a fracture. He could certainly miss time still, and a more definitive timeline should be provided when the practice week begins Wednesday. No tread until garbage time
Dallas rushed four times for seven yards in Sunday's 40-3 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Dallas didn't log a carry until coach Pete Carroll opted to rest the starters at the end of the third quarter. When the rookie got on the field, he did little with his opportunities. As long as Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde are healthy, Dallas will be kept out of the game plan. That will be emphasized further once Rashaad Penny (knee) returns to the lineup.

Reels in two passes
Dallas caught two of three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 17-12 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: Dallas didn't play an offensive snap last week, but he enjoyed a larger role in this outing, logging just six fewer snaps than backfield mate Carlos Hyde's 18. This may have been partly due to the fact Hyde dealt with turf toe throughout the week. A decent workload could be expected on a weekly basis if Hyde's reps remain limited, but there's not meaningful fantasy relevance for Dallas in his current role.

Dallas garnered zero offensive snaps and 18 special-teams snaps during Monday's 23-17 win against the Eagles.
Analysis: With Chris Carson joining Carlos Hyde in the Seahawks backfield after sitting out four games due to a mid-foot sprain, Dallas was relegated to a strict special-teams role. The fourth-round rookie out of Miami collected 28 rush attempts between Weeks 8 and 11, but he managed only 3.3 yards per carry. Garners just three touches
Dallas rushed once for 13 yards and caught both of his targets for 19 yards in Thursday's 28-21 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: Dallas lost reps to a practice squad running back for a second straight week, as Alex Collins out-snapped him last week against the Rams and Bo Scarbrough (hamstring) did the same against the Cardinals. Meanwhile, Carlos Hyde returned from a hamstring injury and operated as the team's lead back, turning 16 touches into 95 yards and a touchdown. Chris Carson (foot) is expected to return next week against the Eagles, so Dallas' fantasy value has essentially evaporated now.

Dallas rushed twice for eight yards and caught two of three targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Dallas was expected to take on a large workload once again because Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) were inactive, but instead Alex Collins ended up leading the Seattle backfield in snaps and touches. Analysis: The Seahawks will play a third straight week with their top two running backs on the sidelines. Last week when the Seahawks were trailing almost the entire game, Homer led the backfield with a 48 percent snap share, and the two backs both handled nine touches. However, the Bills took a two-score lead just 7:25 into the first quarter, and the Seahawks shifted even heavier toward the pass. Could start again Week 9
Dallas could be in store for a second straight start Sunday against the Bills with the Seahawks ruling out Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) for Sunday's game against the Bills, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: In last week's win over the 49ers, the Seahawks had Dallas and Travis Homer available as their only backs for the contest. Though Homer had slotted directly behind Carson and Hyde all season, he may have only been more of an emergency option Week 8, as he was questionable with a knee injury leading into the contest. Finds end zone twice
Dallas carried the ball 18 times for 41 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against San Francisco. He added five receptions for 17 yards and another score.
Analysis: Dallas took advantage of the absence of Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) to account for 18 of the team's 28 rush attempts. He wasn't very efficient -- he averaged only 2.3 yards per attempt and his longest rush of the day went for nine yards -- but did punch in a one-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter to clinch a victory for Seattle. In line for more snaps
Dallas will be one of two active running backs for the Seahawks alongside Travis Homer (knee) with Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) sidelined for Sunday's contest against the 49ers.
Analysis: The Seahawks notably have allowed Russell Wilson to "cook" this season, ranking in the bottom 10 in rush play percentage (38.5 percent). Still, with the team down its top two RBs, and Homer tending to a knee contusion, there's a chance Dallas is the lead ball carrier Sunday. While Dallas has only played 23 snaps on offense in his brief career, the rookie fourth-rounder's six touches have translated to 41 yards from scrimmage.

Could handle lead role?
Dallas is the only Seattle tailback without an injury designation for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Chris Carson (foot) and Travis Homer (knee) are listed as questionable, while Carlos Hyde (hamstring) is doubtful. Given that Homer has mostly seen playing time on passing downs to this point in his career, it's possible Dallas could be the lead ball carrier if he and Homer are the only backs available Sunday. But Carson does have a history of battling through injuries, and coach Pete Carroll expects his starter to be a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Stay tuned.

Catches two passes in loss
Dallas caught two of three targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 37-34 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis: Chris Carson left in the second quarter with a foot injury, opening the door for Dallas to get on the field after logging no offensive snaps in Seattle's last game. The rookie was solid in his opportunities, and he could be counted on more moving forward because Travis Homer also exited with a knee contusion. If both Carson and Homer are forced to sit out next week against the 49ers, Dallas would line up as the No. 2 running back, a role that would yield a handful of touches.

Dallas did not receive an offensive snap during Sunday night's 27-26 win over Minnesota.
Analysis: The rookie back out of Miami fielded four offensive touches during a Week 4 road win over the Dolphins, but he was not incorporated into the offensive game plan against the Vikings. He could get his first shot Sunday if Chris Carson (knee) and Carlos Hyde (shoulder) are unable to play. Both running backs recovered from serious injuries this offseason and were limited participants in Thursday's practice. Not suiting up Sunday
Dallas (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Falcons.
Analysis: The rookie fourth-round pick will put his NFL debut on hold, as Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde, and to a lesser extent Travis Homer, will handle the backfield workload. Dallas could be stuck on special teams or the inactive list for much of his rookie season, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The unusual circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic add an extra layer of difficulty to the college-to-pro transition, and Dallas faces the added challenge of landing in a crowded backfield with Chris Carson (hip), Rashaad Penny (knee), Carlos Hyde (shoulder) and former college teammate Travis Homer.
