Done with Las Vegas
The Raiders cut Wesley from their practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Less than a week after signing him to its practice squad, Las Vegas decided it was time to part ways with the 25-year-old Wesley. The lanky receiver will now have to seek another opportunity to make an impression elsewhere.

Gets practice squad opportunity
Wesley was signed to the Raiders' practice squad Wednesday.
Analysis: Wesley was most recently a member of the Cardinals, but he spent all of the 2022 campaign on injured reserve with a quadriceps injury. The veteran wideout will now look to develop as a member of the Raiders' practice squad in hopes to carve out a depth role on the team's roster.

Cleared to work out for teams
Wesley (quad) was medically cleared to work out for teams Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Wesley spent all of last season on injured reserve after going down with the quad issue during the summer. Still just 25 years old and big-framed at 6-foot-4 and 206 pounds, Wesley should get some attention. He caught 19 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns as a red-zone weapon for the Cardinals in 2021.

Recovering from torn quadriceps
Wesley sustained torn quadriceps during the week ahead of Arizona's loss versus Philadelphia on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Though initially thought to be an aggravation of a prior hip injury, it's actually ruptured quadriceps muscles that will keep Wesley out for the remainder of the 2022 campaign. The Cardinals will probably continue to rely on A.J. Green to perform the offensive functions with which Wesley might otherwise have been tasked.

Going on IR
Wesley's hip injury will keep him out the remainder of the season, and he will therefore be placed back on injured reserve per head coach Kliff Kingsbury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: It's a brutal blow to Wesley, who had been designated to return from IR last Monday. His season will end without ever having played a game this year, as he suffered the injury in practice in preparation for his return to the field.

Suffers setback, won't play Sunday
Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Friday that Wesley (hip) suffered a setback and won't play Sunday against the Eagles, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Analysis: After missing the minimum four games, Wesley was designated to return from injured reserve Monday. However, per his head coach, the wideout has suffered a setback and won't be added to the active roster for Week 5. The severity of the setback is unclear, but Wesley could be forced to miss the remainder of the season if he isn't activated off IR within 21 days of being designated to return.

Close to returning
Wesley (hip) was designated to return from injured reserve Monday.
Analysis: Wesley has missed the minimum four games since being placed on IR on Sept. 2. He'll have three weeks to be moved to the active roster, but he can return as soon as Sunday against the Eagles. Wesley was expected to play a significant role early in the season with DeAndre Hopkins serving a suspension, but his hip injury derailed those plans. With Hopkins' return still a couple weeks away, and A.J. Green (knee) uncertain for Week 5, Wesley could see a prominent role Sunday against the Eagles if he…read more

Placed on IR
The Cardinals placed Wesley (hip) on injured reserve Thursday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Wesley has been dealing with the issue since the start of August and will now be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season. With Wesley and DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) out to begin the campaign, the Cardinals may need Greg Dortch and Andy Isabella to play expanded roles on offense.

Out at least one or two more weeks
Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that Wesley (hip) could miss one or two more weeks, Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic reports.
Analysis: Wesley has been dealing with the issue since the start of August, and surgery has popped up as an option, but it appears the Cardinals are going to try and wait it out. While it sounds like the wideout may miss the remaining preseason games, he's likely still a lock for the initial 53-man roster with DeAndre Hopkins slated to miss the first six games of the season due to suspension.

Surgery possible
Wesley may need surgery on his injured groin/hip, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Wesley picked up the issue at Thursday's practice and subsequently underwent an MRI. Coach Kliff Kingsbury noted the team will have a better idea whether or not Wesley requires a procedure to address the injury in the next week, or if rehabbing it will be able to get the wide receiver back to 100 percent. With DeAndre Hopkins slated to miss the first six games of the season due to suspension, Wesley is in line to handle a decent number of reps as an outside receiver during that span, assuming…read more

Gets an MRI
Wesley underwent an MRI on his hip Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Wesley's return timeline of 1-to-2 weeks has not changed, so nothing significant appears to have been found. Once healthy, the 24-year-old figures to enjoy an uptick in opportunity while DeAndre Hopkins serves his suspension six-game suspension.

Gets banged up
Wesley suffered a hip injury in practice Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Wesley's injury is expected to keep him out of action for one to two weeks. The 24-year-old appeared in 15 contests last season, recording 19 catches for 208 yards and three touchdowns, the bulk which came between Weeks 15-18 after DeAndre Hopkins suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Re-signs with Cardinals
Wesley has signed his exclusive rights contract tender to remain with the Cardinals this season, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The third-year receiver finished fourth in receiving yards (208) amongst Arizona's wideouts in 2021 and should continue to maintain a significant depth role for team, following the free-agent departure of Christian Kirk and with A.J. Green currently unsigned. At present, the Cardinals' top two wide receiver options are DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore.

Gets contract tender from Cards
The Cardinals have extended a one-year contract tender to Wesley.
Analysis: Once Wesley inks the deal, he'll be in line to reprise his depth role in what could well be a re-tooled wideout corps in 2022. The 24-year-old finished up last season with a 19/208/3 stat line in 15 games while working behind DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk, A.J. Green and Rondale Moore.

Tallies three touchdowns in 2021
Wesley hauled in 19 of 32 targets for 208 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games during the 2021 season.
Analysis: The Ravens signed Wesley as an undrafted free agent in May 2019, but he didn't log his first NFL action until Week 3 of this past campaign as a member of the Cardinals. His first catch as a pro came in Week 8, and the 6-foot-4 wide receiver eventually became a regular in Arizona's offense when DeAndre Hopkins missed the majority of the second half of the season due to hamstring and knee injuries. In particular, Wesley was targeted six times in the red zone from Weeks 15-17, when he tallied his…read more

Sees four targets Sunday
Wesley gathered in two of four targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 38-30 loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: The bulk of Wesley's production this season has occurred with DeAndre Hopkins (knee) on the sideline. Between Weeks 9 and 11 and since Hopkins was placed on IR after Week 14, Wesley played between 59 and 85 percent of offensive snaps in each of those seven games en route to a 18-201-3 line on 29 targets. Hopkins isn't expected to be ready to return until the NFC Championship Game at the earliest, so Wesley should continue to get regular looks from Kyler Murray in Monday's wild-card game against…read more

Two TDs in win
Wesley caught four of five targets for 30 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 25-22 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: He was Kyler Murray's favorite red-zone option on the afternoon, hauling in a one-yard TD in the second quarter and a 19-yard strike in the third. Wesley has notched his first three NFL touchdowns in the last two games, and he'll look to pad that total further in Week 18 against the Seahawks.

Ready for bigger role
Wesley will take on a larger role in the Arizona offense with DeAndre Hopkins undergoing knee surgery, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.
Analysis: Wesley previously played 76-77 percent of snaps in three straight games (Weeks 9-11) when Hopkins missed time with a hamstring injury, catching seven of eight targets for 106 yards in that stretch. He'll likely continue to be targeted at a low rate on a per-snap/per-route basis, but Wesley does have a nice opportunity to pile up snaps and make an impression down the stretch.

Tallies four receptions Sunday
Wesley recorded four catches (on four targets) for 44 yards during Sunday's 23-13 victory at Seattle.
Analysis: The Cardinals have been without top wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) for most of the past four games, and Wesley has profited as a result, earning at least 53 percent of the offensive snaps on each occasion. Wesley's production has been sporadic during that stretch, with outings of 62, 44, seven and no receiving yards. Overall, though, he's been efficient with his reps, hauling in eight of 11 targets (72.7 percent) and averaging 10.3 YPT. Arizona is on bye Week 12, so if Hopkins is…read more

Surprisingly productive Sunday
Wesley caught all three of his targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 31-17 win over the 49ers.
Analysis: One game after catching his first career pass in the NFL, Wesley made a much bigger splash as he took advantage of the snaps available while DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) and A.J. Green (COVID-19) were sidelined. Wesley also nearly scored a touchdown but was ruled out just shy of the goal line late in the first quarter after hauling in a pass from Christian Kirk. He's been hanging around on practice squads or injured reserve since going undrafted out of Texas Tech in 2019, but Wesley's recent…read more

Moved to injured reserve
The Ravens sent Wesley (shoulder) to injured reserve Sunday, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports.
Analysis: Wesley signed a futures deal with the Ravens this offseason after landing a contract with the club as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2019 campaign. The team isn't ready to give up on him yet, moving the second-year wideout to the IR list.

Getting season-ending surgery
Wesley (shoulder) will need season-ending surgery, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Wesley was enjoying a strong camp after spending last season on Baltimore's practice squad, but the 22-year-old Texas Tech product will now set his sights on recovering for the 2021 season.

Dealing with shoulder injury
Wesley is scheduled to meet with a specialist regarding a shoulder injury he suffered during a recent practice, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Coach John Harbaugh said the wideout could require surgery to address the injury, a development that would likely sideline him for multiple weeks at the very least. Even if he cracks the 53-man roster, the Texas Tech product isn't likely to make an impact at receiver for Baltimore, but the injury certainly hurts his chances of seeing the field in any capacity in 2020.
