Collects seven tackles Sunday
Board recorded seven tackles (five solo) during Sunday's 24-19 loss versus the Eagles.
Analysis: Board played more defensive snaps (29) than teammate Trenton Simpson (21) for the second straight game in Week 13, and he came away with his best tackle total of the season. Right now, he appears to be Baltimore's preferred option to rotate in at inside linebacker after Roquan Smith and Malik Harrison.

Returns to practice
Board (concussion) practiced Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Board exited Baltimore's preseason opener against the Eagles due to a concussion and was unable to return for the team's second exhibition game Saturday versus Atlanta. However, his return to practice suggests he's cleared protocol. Board is slated to serve as a backup linebacker and special-teams stalwart during the 2024 campaign.

Will not return
Board will not return to Friday's preseason game against the Eagles after being tested for a concussion.
Analysis: It remains unclear whether Board actually sustained a concussion or if Baltimore is just exercising caution during an exhibition game. The journeyman is competing for a depth linebacker role in Baltimore.

Back with Baltimore
Board agreed to a contract with the Ravens on Tuesday, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Board, who spent his first four NFL campaigns with the Ravens after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2018, is coming off a 2023 regular season in which he recorded 10 tackles with the Patriots. In his looming return to Baltimore, the 28-year-old will bolster the depth of the team's linebacking corps while also maintaining his role as a core special-teams contributor.

Gets cut loose
Board was released by the Patriots on Thursday.
Analysis: Board joined New England on a two-year contract last offseason, but he'll now make his exit from the team a year early. The 28-year-old was strictly a special-teams contributor last season, recording 10 combined tackles in 17 games.

Signs with New England
Board signed a a two-year deal with the Patriots on Friday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Board spent last season with the Lions, where he appeared in all 17 games and registered 21 tackles (17 solo) while playing primarily on special teams. The 27-year-old should be expected to have a similar role on his new team, and while Board may not contribute much on defense, he can still provide a lot of value to New England's special-teams unit.

Is active Sunday
Board (knee) will play Sunday against the Patriots.
Analysis: Board was unable to practice Wednesday or Thursday, but he was able to log a limited practice Friday. The veteran should start at outside linebacker Sunday.

Deemed questionable for Sunday
Board (knee) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Patriots.
Analysis: Board didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday due to a knee injury, but he returned as a limited participant Friday and will have a chance to suit up Sunday. Across four appearances this season, Board has recorded 10 tackles while playing a rotational role.

Getting first-team reps
Board and Alex Anzalone took the majority of first-team reps at linebacker this spring, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: This isn't a surprise in the sense that Board's one-year, $2 million deal tops that of Jarrad Davis' one-year, $1.2 million pact. With Anzalone at middle linebacker and Julian Okwara on the strong side, Board presumably fits in at weakside linebacker in Detroit's new 4-3 base defense. If so, he probably will have less responsibility as a pass rusher than Okwara, who racked up five sacks on fewer than 400 defensive snaps last year.

Inks in Detroit
Board signed a one-year contract with the Lions on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Board appeared in 16 games in three of the last four seasons with Baltimore, and he also logged a 15-contest slate back in 2019. The special-teams ace, who has also proven capable of contributing on defense in a situational capacity, now brings his talents to Detroit.

Off COVID-19 list
Board was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports.
Analysis: Board tested positive for the virus and was sidelined for the team's Week 16 loss to the Bengals. However, he is expected to return to his usual backup linebacker role during the team's Week 17 showdown with the Rams.

Lands on reserve/COVID list
The Ravens placed Board on their reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Analysis: Board reportedly tested positive for the virus, but if vaccinated, he will only need to record two negative tests, 24 hours apart to be able to suit up for Week 16. Malik Harrison may see an increased depth role for the Ravens defense if Board isn't available to play against the Bengals on Sunday.

Re-ups with Ravens
Board re-signed with the Ravens on a one-year, $2.683 million contract Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Board's deal includes over $1.6 million in guaranteed money, and if he hits his incentives, the linebacker will earn more than he would have if the Ravens tendered him. He had 30 tackles and 2.5 sacks last season and is expected to play a similar role in the coming campaign.

Suiting up, as expected
Board (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the Browns, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: Board practiced without limitations all week, so he'll resume his special-teams role as the Ravens look to clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

In line to play Week 16
Board (concussion) is expected to play Sunday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Board has been able to practice in full all week. He'll return to his usual special-teams role after a one-game absence.

All systems go
Board (concussion) was a full participant during Wednesday's practice, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: It's safe to assume Board, after fully participating in Wednesday's practice, has cleared the league's concussion protocol and will play Sunday versus the Browns. The 24-year-old linebacker only has nine tackles in 13 games this season, so Board's fantasy value is nonexistent.

Won't face Jets
Board (concussion) is ruled out for Thursday's tilt against the Jets, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Board suffered a concussion during Sunday's win over the Bills, and he won't face New York on Thursday due to the quick turnaround. The special-teams contributor will need to fully clear the league's concussion protocol before retaking the field. His next chance to suit up will come Week 16 in Cleveland.

Leaves game Sunday
Board is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bills because he's being evaluated for a concussion, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: It's unclear how Board picked up the knock, but he was forced to leave the game in the first quarter. He'll be placed in the league's mandated concussion protocol and will need to gain clearance before re-entering. In his stead, look for L.J. Fort to be the main beneficiary for depth snaps at the linebacker position.
