Logs first sack of season
Hill logged six tackles (four solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 44-38 loss to Pittsburgh.
Analysis: It took until Week 13 for Hill to register his first sack of the 2024 regular season, as he got to Russell Wilson for a four-yard loss late in the fourth quarter that forced the Steelers to settle for a 30-yard field goal by Chris Boswell. Through 10 games, Hill has logged 36 tackles (17 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and four passes defensed.

All set for SNF
Hill (knee) is active for Sunday night's contest against the Chargers.
Analysis: Hill was limited at practice during the week with a knee injury, but he's now all set to be in his starting role at defensive tackle versus Los Angeles. Hill has compiled 27 total tackles (13 solo) and four passes defensed over eight games in 2024.

Draws questionable tag
Hill (knee) is questionable for Sunday night's game against the Chargers, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Hill returned to practice Thursday after logging a DNP on Wednesday. He closed the week with a pair of limited sessions, putting Hill on track to potentially give it a go versus Los Angeles. On the season, Hill has 27 tackles (13 solo), including two TFLs, and four pass deflections.

Logs limited practice in return
Hill (knee) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Hill was unable to practice Wednesday due to a knee issue that he may have sustained during the Bengals' Week 10 loss to the Ravens. The veteran defensive tackle has managed to play through multiple injuries this season, so if he's able to practice in at least a limited capacity Friday, he'll likely be able to suit up against the Chargers on Sunday.

Misses practice with knee injury
Hill didn't practice Wednesday due to a knee injury, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The knee issue is a new one for the veteran defensive tackle, who was tending to a rib injury ahead of last Thursday's loss to the Ravens. Kris Jenkins and McKinnley Jackson would be next up for snaps if Hill needs to sit out Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Good to go vs. Baltimore
Hill (ribs) is not on the Bengals' inactive list for Thursday night's game against the Ravens.
Analysis: Hill injured his ribs during Sunday's 41-24 win over the Raiders. He was able to log a limited practice Wednesday, and despite operating on a short week, Hill will suit up for Thursday's AFC North showdown. The 2018 third-round pick has logged 23 tackles (10 solo) and four pass breakups over seven regular-season games.

Questionable for Thursday night
Hill (ribs) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Ravens.
Analysis: Hill upgraded to limited participation Wednesday after logging a DNP on Tuesday, suggesting he could be trending toward playing in Thursday night's divisional matchup. However, if the 29-year-old defensive tackle is unable to suit up in Week 10, expect Kris Jenkins and McKinnley Jackson to see increased work with Cincinnati's first-team defense.

Leaves with ribs injury
Hill exited Sunday's game against the Raiders with a ribs injury and will not return.
Analysis: Sheldon Rankins, Kris Jenkins and McKinnley Jackson will handle defensive tackle duties for the remainder of Sunday's contest. Sam Hubbard is also capable of kicking inside.

Cleared to play Sunday
Hill (hamstring) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Ravens and is expected to play, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: Hill has been sidelined since going down 14 snaps into Week 2 against the Chiefs, but his Week 5 return will be a big boost to Cincinnati's struggling defense. His return could bump rookie DT Kris Jenkins out of the rotation up front.

Ruled out
Hill (hamstring) is inactive Sunday against the Panthers.
Analysis: Hill was considered doubtful for the matchup, so his game status doesn't come as too much of a surprise. With Sheldon Rankins (hamstring) also out, the Bengals will be depleted in the middle of their defensive line. Zachary Carter, Jay Tufele and Kris Jenkins will all likely need to step up there against the Carolina.

Doubtful to face Carolina
Hill (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: With Sheldon Rankins (hamstring) ruled out for Sunday and Hill doubtful, Zachary Carter, Jay Tufele and rookie Kris Jenkins will again likely pace the Bengals' interior defensive line in snaps against Carolina after that was the case last Monday night versus Washington, when both Rankins and Hill were inactive.

Inactive against Washington
Hill (hamstring) is inactive for Monday night's game against Washington.
Analysis: Hill was listed as doubtful, so this isn't a surprise. With Sheldon Rankins also out with a hamstring injury, the Bengals were forced to sign veteran DT Lawrence Guy to team with Jay Tufele and Zachary Carter on the interior of the defensive line.

Unlikely to play Monday
Hill (hamstring) didn't practice Saturday and is listed as doubtful for Monday's game against the Commanders, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Bill picked up the hamstring injury during Cincinnati's Week 2 loss to Kansas City. The 2018 third-round pick wasn't able to practice in any capacity all week, making him unlikely to suit up for Monday's contest. With Sheldon Rankins (hamstring) already ruled out, backups Jay Tufele and Zachary Carter will step into the starting defensive tackle jobs while Lawrence Guy will serve in a rotational depth role, if Hill ends up being ruled out.

Doesn't practice Friday
Hill (hamstring) did not participate in Friday's practice session, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Hill sustained the hamstring injury in the Bengals' Week 2 loss to the Chiefs. He opened the week with back-to-back DNPs, and he'll have one more chance Saturday to practice in some capacity ahead of Monday's game against the Commanders. Sheldon Rankins (hamstring) has also been held out of practice, and if neither he nor Hill can play, then Zachary Carter and Jay Tufele would step up as the starting defensive tackles for Monday's contest.

Won't return Sunday
Hill (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 2 game against Kansas City.
Analysis: Hill exited in the second quarter of Sunday's contest while grabbing at his left hamstring, and he's since been ruled out for the remainder of the game. His departure is a big blow to a depleted Bengals defensive line. Zachary Carter has stepped in for Hill against the Chiefs, while Jay Tufele has entered for Sheldon Rankins, who went down with an injury in the third quarter.

Leaves game with hamstring injury
Hill is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Chiefs due to a hamstring injury, Jay Morrison of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Hill registered one tackle before exiting in the second quarter of Sunday's game. Jay Tufele or Zachary Carter will see additional snaps at defensive tackle alongside starter Sheldon Rankins while Hill is sidelined.

Makes two interceptions in 2023
Hill racked up 51 tackles (26 solo), 4.5 sacks, five pass breakups, two interceptions and one fumble recovery across 17 regular-season games in 2023.
Analysis: Hill ended the 2023 campaign with less tackles than in 2022, but he made noise elsewhere by tallying the first two interceptions of his NFL career. His two big-man INTs came against Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew and Vikings signal-caller Nick Mullens. Hill remains a reliable starter heading into his age-29 season, but the Bengals have some cap decisions to make, so his contract stands out as a potential restructure.

Key interception
Hill had a key interception in the second half of the Bengals' win over the Colts in Week 14.
Analysis: Teammate Trey Hendrickson hit Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew as he was throwing, and Hill made a diving catch off of the subsequent deflection. Overall, Hill has 31 tackles on the season and is on pace for fewer tackles than the last two years, but he has the interception, four sacks and four deflected passes.

Notches career-high 68 tackles
Hill recorded a career-high 68 tackles and added three sacks and three fumble recoveries over 16 games during the regular season. The defensive tackle notched an additional nine tackles and one sack over the Bengals' three playoff games.
Analysis: The Bengals have netted a big profit in acquiring Hill from the Giants in advance of the 2021 season. He played a career-high 785 defensive snaps in 2022 and will remain a starting tackle for the Bengals as he heads into the second season of a three-year, $30 million deal in 2023.

Staying in Cincinnati
Hill agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal with the Bengals on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Hill was traded to the Bengals ahead of the 2021 campaign and totaled 50 tackles (29 solo) and 5.5 sacks across 16 appearances. The 2018 third-round pick figures to be a key piece along the Bengals' defensive front over the next three seasons.

Clears COVID-19 list
Hill (illness) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.
Analysis: Hill was one of seven Bengals players to be removed from COVID-19 protocols Monday. During his first season with the Bengals, the defensive lineman has totaled 50 tackles and 5.5 sacks across 16 appearances. He will look to build off his solid 2022 campaign by getting after Derek Carr during Cincinnati's wild-card matchup with the Raiders on Saturday.

Placed on reserve/COVID-19 list
Hill was put on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Analysis: Hill will now enter the league's protocols surrounding the virus, making it unlikely that he'll be available for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Browns. If the defensive tackle is unable to play, Josh Tupou and Tyler Shelvin could end seeing an increase in snaps.

Impacting pass rush
Hill leads the Bengals in sacks with three so far while rotating in their defensive line, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports. The Bengals are on pace to get 47 sacks, 166 pressures, and 51 QB knockdowns (projected stats are from PFF.com), as opposed to the 17, 111 and 55, respectively, they had last season.
Analysis: So far the trade that netted Hill from the Giants for Billy Price has worked out really well for the Bengals. Hill is difficult to rely upon in IDP leagues because he has roughly a 35 percent snap share. That rotation probably helps keep him fresher for pass rush situations, however.

Traded to Bengals
The Giants traded Hill to Cincinnati in exchange for Billy Price on Monday,Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Analysis: Hill played in all 16 games for the Giants last season, tallying 32 tackles and one sack. Hill was likely acquired by the Bengals to fill the depth role at defensive end that has been opened due to rookie Joseph Ossai's possible season-ending knee injury.

Stats take a hit in 2019
Hill recorded 36 tackles (15 solo) and one sack across 16 contests in 2019.
Analysis: Hill's numbers dwindled across the board compared to his rookie campaign, resulting in him being downgraded to a rotational/reserve gig down the stretch. The 2018 third-round pick will compete to retake a key role in 2020.
