No touches in loss
Ogunbowale did not have a carry and went untargeted over 13 snaps in Sunday's 32-27 loss to Tennessee in Week 12.
Analysis: Ogunbowale was the lone running back not named Joe Mixon to see time on offense, as Dameon Pierce worked on special teams only. That doesn't suggest Ogunbowale is the top backup to Mixon however, as Pierce would likely be the lead back in case Mixon were injured or unavailable.

One catch in win
Ogunbowale caught his lone target for 11 yards in Monday's 34-10 victory over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Ogunbowale was limited to a season-low eight snaps, as Houston's offense featured a lot of Joe Mixon (22 touches, four targets). With Dameon Pierce returning from a two-game absence Monday, Ogunbowale was back to third on the depth chart, although he got more snaps (eight) than Pierce (four). The reception was Ogunbowale's first in six weeks.

One touch in loss
Ogunbowale had one carry for 11 yards in Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Lions.
Analysis: Ogunbowale once again served as the top backup to Joe Mixon, as Dameon Pierce (hamstring) missed a second straight contest. It was the sixth game this year Pierce has been inactive due to injury. Ogunbowale was on the field for 15 snaps, while Mixon dominated backfield playing time as per usual. Since Mixon returned from an injury in Week 6, Ogunbowale has six rushes for 28 yards and has failed to catch any of his five targets.

Lining up as top backup Week 10
Ogunbowale is expected to serve as the top backup to Joe Mixon in Week 10, as Dameon Pierce (hamstring) has been ruled out of Sunday night's game against the Lions.
Analysis: Pierce will miss a second consecutive week, ceding the depth spots in the backfield to Ogunbowale and J.J. Taylor. There may not be much for either back to do, unless Mixon sustains an injury; in the Week 9 loss to the Jets, Ogunbowale and Taylor combined for four touches and three targets (no catches).

Quiet as top backup
Ogunbowale had one carry for minus-1 yards and failed to catch any of his three targets in Thursday's 21-13 loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Ogunbowale was Houston's top backup at running back but did little in his 29 offensive snaps. With a healthy Joe Mixon, no backup would be expected to do much on the ground, but it was as a receiver where Ogunbowale could have made an impression. However, Houston's offensive line allowed pressure to quarterback C.J. Stroud, which made for a disjointed passing attack.

Might be in line for backup role
Ogunbowale could serve as the top backup running back in Thursday's game against the Jets, as Dameon Pierce (groin) did not practice Tuesday.
Analysis: Ogunbowale would move up the depth chart if Pierce is unable to heal in time for Thursday's game. He filled in earlier this season when both Pierce and starter Joe Mixon missed time, with his most usage coming Week 5 versus Buffalo, when he handled 21 touches. That kind of volume is not expected for Ogunbowale at any point in the near future with Mixon back to full health, but the short week could present more opportunities for Ogunbowale if Pierce sits out.

Limited role again
Ogunbowale had one carry for four yards and failed to catch his lone target in Sunday's 23-20 win over Indianapolis.
Analysis: Ogunbowale was limited to one touch and one target for a second straight week. Ogunbowale did see more time on the field than Dameon Pierce, but both backs are playing cameo roles behind Joe Mixon, who continues to dominate Houston's backfield.

One touch in loss
Ogunbowale had one carry for six yards and failed to catch his lone target in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Ogunbowale (15 snaps) and Dameon Pierce (seven snaps, two carries) were barely involved in Joe Mixon's second game back from an ankle injury. With both Mixon and Pierce healthy, Ogunbowale is not needed much as a runner, but his third-down and special-teams duties keep him on the gameday roster.

Locked in as No. 3 back
Ogunbowale became the No. 3 option on the depth chart at running back for the Texans after Houston traded Cam Akers to Minnesota on Tuesday.
Analysis: The Texans found themselves with a deep backfield following the returns of Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce from multi-game absences due to injury in Week 6, so it made sense for Houston to part ways with Akers. Ogunbowale, who was on the field more than Akers last week, is seen as more of a receiving threat and provides greater versatility as a No. 3 back due to his ability to contribute on special teams.

Two touches in win
Ogunbowale gained eight yards on two carries in Sunday's 41-21 win over New England in Week 6.
Analysis: As expected, Ogunbowale (18 snaps) experienced a drop in playing time and touches due to the returns of both Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce. Ogunbowale, who operates as a pass-catching back on third downs, was on the field more than Cam Akers (two snaps).

Gets 21 touches in Week 5 win
Ogunbowale rushed 15 times for 30 yards and caught six of seven targets for 57 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Bills.
Analysis: Ogunbowale got a look as the lead back with Houston looking to get its running game going in the absence of Joe Mixon (ankle) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring). While Ogunbowale performed well as a pass catcher, Cam Akers was the team's most effective option on the ground, turning his nine carries into 42 yards and a touchdown. Ogunbowale's slow day as a rusher included being stuffed on fourth-and-1 in the red zone when the Texans were looking to build on an early 14-3 lead. Even if Mixon or Pierce…read more

Big day as receiver
Ogunbowale caught all four of his targets for 47 yards and a touchdown and added two carries for seven yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: The veteran depth RB had his most productive day as a pass catcher since he posted a 5-54 line on seven targets in Week 7 of the 2022 campaign, and Ogunbowale got to play hero Sunday by catching a one-yard TD from C.J. Stroud late in the fourth quarter for the game-winning score. Season-high 26 snaps
Ogunbowale caught both his targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 34-7 loss to Minnesota in Week 3.
Analysis: Ogunbowale played 26 snaps, serving as the top backup to Cam Akers with both Joe Mixon (ankle) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring) sidelined. Houston also had British Brooks (three snaps) and J.J. Taylor (10) active for the game, but neither had a significant role in the offense.

Four touches in win
Ogunbowale had two carries for three yards and caught both his targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Bears.
Analysis: Ogunbowale took a back seat to Cam Akers, who was the primary beneficiary of Dameon Pierce's hamstring injury. While Ogunbowale out-snapped Akers (20-13), the latter had more touches (8-4). Akers also had a conspicuous fumble in the red zone as the Texans were preparing to take a two-touchdown lead late in the fourth quarter. Pierce's injury, plus the ankle injury Joe Mixon played through Sunday, could shuffle up roles in the Houston backfield ahead of Week 3's road matchup in Minnesota.

Targeted once in Week 1 win
Ogunbowale caught his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 29-27 win over Indianapolis in Week 1.
Analysis: Ogunbowale (13 snaps) and Dameon Pierce (nine) were the top backups to starter to Joe Mixon, who had a monster debut in Houston with 30 carries, 159 yards and a touchdown over 59 snaps. Behind Mixon, there was some uncertainty about the pecking order, but it looks like Cam Akers (inactive) is out for the moment and British Brooks played only on special teams.

Scores TD on Friday
Ogunbowale rushed three times for 10 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 20-12 preseason win over Steelers.
Analysis: The Texans couldn't get much going with their run game, but Ogunbowale had an easy four-yard scamper for a score. He was the second back in the game following Dameon Pierce, who started in place of Joe Mixon (quadriceps). That suggests Ogunbowale will be Houston's third back to start the season.

Starts Thursday
Ogunbowale had three carries for 14 yards and caught both targets for 21 yards in Thursday's 21-17 preseason loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Ogunbowale got the starting assignment Thursday, as Joe Mixon (quadriceps) and Dameon Pierce (coach's decision) were held out of the lineup. Given his experience in the system and work on special teams, Ogunbowales should be considered the leader for the third spot on the depth chart.

Returning to Houston
Ogunbowale re-signed with the Texans on a one-year deal Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: After stints in Washington, Tampa Bay and Jacksonville, Ogunbowale will enter his third straight season in Houston. Primarily used on offense as a third-down back, the journeyman tallied 53 total yards in 2023 while also notably converting on a 29-yard field goal attempt. He will presumably compete for the No. 3 spot on the running back depth chart behind Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce.

Serves as No. 2 back
Ogunbowale had two carries for seven yards and caught his lone target for 13 yards in Houston's 34-10 playoff loss to Baltimore last Saturday. He finished the 2023 regular season with eight carries for 35 yards and two catches on seven targets for 18 yards over 12 games.
Analysis: Ogunbowale eventually became the No. 2 back behind Devin Singletary, surpassing Dameon Pierce, who struggled all season. Had Singletary gotten hurt at any point leading up to the postseason, perhaps the rotation might have been different. Ogunbowale, who enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, has been a valuable depth piece and special-teams regular since joining the Texans ahead of the 2022 season. Gets two carries in blowout loss
Ogunbowale played 16 of 56 snaps on offense, and carried twice for seven yards and hauled in one of his two targets for a four-yard reception in Sunday's 30-6 loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Both of Ogunbowale's targets and carries came in Houston's final two offensive possessions, when the team was trailing by three touchdowns. In more competitive contests, Ogunbowale's playing time will likely be contained mostly to special teams, while Devin Singletary and Dameon Pierce dominate the snaps at running back.

Serves as emergency kicker
Ogunbowale successfully converted a 29-yard field-goal attempt in Sunday's 39-37 win over Tampa Bay in Week 9.
Analysis: The running back was pressed into duty as a kicker when Ka'imi Fairbairn was unable to play in the second half due to a hamstring injury. Ogunbowale handled kickoffs, and his field goal gave Houston a 33-30 lead, but he was not given an opportunity to kick extra points as Houston went for two-point conversions on all four of its second-half touchdowns. If Fairbairn's injury lingers, the Texans are likely to add a traditional placekicker over using Ogunbowale in the role again.

Ogunbowale (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Ogunbowale was unable to suit up for the team's season opener due to the injury; however, now that he's healthy, he'll have a chance to play Week 2 against the Colts. With Dameon Pierce, Devin Singletary and Mike Boone all ahead of him on the team's positional depth chart though, it's possible the Wisconsin product could be a healthy inactive.

Ogunbowale (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against Baltimore.

Ogunbowale had 11 carries for 33 yards and caught five of six targets for five yards in Sunday's 32-31 win over the Colts in Week 18.
Analysis: Ogunbowale led all running backs in yards in what was his most productive game since becoming a regular in the rotation Week 12. Houston finished out the season with Ogunbowale, Royce Freeman and Rex Burkhead in the backfield following the season-ending ankle injury to Dameon Pierce. Status in question for Week 17
Ogunbowale (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Jaguars.
Analysis: Ogunbowale showed up on the Texans' injury report Thursday as limited by a knee issue and maintained that activity level and listing to wrap up Week 17 prep. If he avoids inactive status Sunday, he'll continue to work behind Royce Freeman as the team's No. 2 running back with Dameon Pierce (ankle) out for the season, which so far has resulted in 16 carries for 42 yards and no targets over the last two games.

Ogunbowale was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice with a knee injury.
Analysis: While Dameon Pierce (ankle) has been sidelined for the past two games with a season-ending injury, Ogunbowale has worked ahead of Rex Burkhead as the No. 2 option in the backfield behind Royce Freeman. Ogunbowale has logged eight carries and no targets in both of those contests, totaling a meager 42 yards on his 16 totes. Totals 28 yards in win
Ogunbowale rushed the ball eight times for 28 yards in Saturday's 19-14 win over the Titans.
Analysis: Ogunbowale served as the change-of-pace back behind Royce Freeman in Houston's backfield. He wasn't able to muster much production, as his longest rush of the day went for only eight yards. Stymied on ground in OT loss
Ogunbowale rushed eight times for 14 yards and did not draw a target in the Texans' 30-24 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Analysis: Ogunbowale was outpaced by practice-squad callup Royce Freeman by three carries and 37 yards in the Texans' first game without Dameon Pierce (IR-ankle). The lack of usage in the air attack was also somewhat curious, considering both Ogunbowale's well-established track record as a receiver and Kansas City's propensity for allowing production through the air to running backs. Analysis: Ogunbowale is one of two healthy running backs on the Texans' active roster, the other being Rex Burkhead, while Gerrid Doaks and Royce Freeman are candidates to be elevated from the practice squad. Considering their respective careers to this point, Burkhead may be the best bet for runs between the tackles, but Ogunbowale's pass-catching chops may result in a fantasy-relevant Week 15. Analysis: Ogunbowale saw 18 snaps, the most of any back not named Dameon Pierce, who left late in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury. Scores in loss
Ogunbowale had four carries for 14 yards, caught one of two targets for six yards and had a three-yard rushing touchdown in Sunday's 30-15 loss to the Dolphins in Week 12.
Analysis: The Texans continued a trend of poor first halves, falling behind 30-0 and putting a damper on Dameon Pierce's day (five carries, eight yards). That meant more playing time for Ogunbowale and Rex Burkhead, who eventually left with a head injury. When all is going right, which is rare for Houston's offense, Pierce gets the bulk of the rushing opportunities. If Burkhead misses time, Ogunbowale or the recently claimed Eno Benjamin (inactive Sunday) would become the top backup.

One target in loss
Ogunbowale caught his lone target for 13 yards and did not have a carry in Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Giants in Week 10.
Analysis: Ogunbowale has played just six offensive snaps over the three last games. That followed a spasm of activity in the Week 7 loss to the Raiders, when he had six touches. At the time, head coach Lovie Smith indicated Ogunbowale's usage was an effort to provide a spark, and it's looking like a one-game thing. Houston has a thin backfield -- just three running backs -- so Ogunbowale is an injury away from more significant playing time.

Plays three snaps
Ogunbowale played three snaps on offense and caught his lone target for no gain in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans.
Analysis: One week after Ogunbowale had a carry and five catches on seven targets, he received minimal opportunities in Week 8. Houston head coach Lovie Smith indicated the back's usage last week was an attempt to provide a spark for the offense, so Ogunbowale's role does not appear to be on the ascent -- although an offense that gained just 161 yards against an average Tennessee defense looked like it was in need of a jolt.

Featured in fourth quarter
Ogunbowale had one carry for eight yards and caught five of seven targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Raiders in Week 7.
Analysis: Ogunbowale made his biggest impact of the season on offense. The Texans featured him on their final drive -- that's when he had all of his touches and targets -- in a move Houston head coach Lovie Smith described to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle as "trying to find a spark." Smith didn't insinuate that Rex Burkhead, who has been the primary pass catcher out of the backfield, was lacking in any way, but it is interesting to note Ogunbowale's increased role nonetheless. Catches lone target
Ogunbowale was not given a carry and caught his lone target for eight yards in Saturday's 17-13 preseason win over New Orleans.
Analysis: Ogunbowale is on the bubble in a competition with Royce Freeman to become the fourth running back, which the Texans usually carry. He had three snaps on offense during the first two series, while Freeman was handed the rock 12 times in 36 snaps. Ogunbowale also was seen returning kicks in pregame warmups, per Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle, but he didn't get a chance to return during the game. Joins Houston backfield
Ogunbwale agreed Wednesday with the Texans on a two-year, $3.3 million deal, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: Ogunbowale joins a Texans running-back corps in transition. Once the dust settles after free agency and the draft, however, a better read on Ogunbowale's role in 2022 should become available. In all likelihood, the 27-year-old will enter the upcoming season no higher than second on the depth chart, as he's been relegated to a depth role throughout his career and hasn't been especially productive with his limited opportunities.

Minor production on 14 touches
Ogunbowale had 11 carries for 30 yards and caught three of six targets for 25 yards during Sunday's 26-11 win over the Colts.
Analysis: Ogunbowale played 68 percent of the offensive snaps and led Jacksonville's backfield with 14 touches, though Ryquell Armstead out-produced him with 11 touches for 62 yards. Ogunbowale took on a larger role down the stretch following injuries to James Robinson (Achilles) and Carlos Hyde (concussion), and he finished 2021 with 43 carries for 137 yards and one touchdown to go along with 13 catches for 114 yards and another score. Tallies another touchdown
Ogunbowale rushed nine times for 36 yards and caught both his targets for 32 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 50-10 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Ogunbowale was unable to find much success through most of the afternoon, though he salvaged the day for fantasy managers with a 28-yard touchdown catch-and-run on a screen pass in garbage time. He mostly split backfield work with Ryquell Armstead, who had seven touches, but neither back found much success prior to the touchdown. Ogunbowale should operate as Jacksonville's top tailback again in Week 18, but he has a limited ceiling in a tough matchup versus Indianapolis.

Scores TD after Robinson injury
Ogunbowale rushed 17 times for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Jets. He added two catches on four targets for 15 yards after taking over as the lead back for the injured James Robinson (Achilles).
Analysis: Robinson reportedly suffered a partial tear of his Achilles, per Michael DiRocco of ESPN. That injury will almost certainly sideline Robinson for the remainder of the season, so Ogunbowale should continue to work as Jacksonville's lead back in Week 17 against the Patriots and Week 18 against the Colts. Ogunbowale made the most of his opportunity in this one, finding the end zone from one yard out in the fourth quarter for his first touchdown in two seasons as a member of the Jaguars.

Two touches as backup
Ogunbowale had one carry for one yard and caught one of two targets for five yards during Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Texans.
Analysis: Ogunbowale served as Jacksonville's No. 2 tailback with Carlos Hyde (concussion) sidelined, and he was minimally involved in the offense. James Robinson should continue to operate as the workhorse back if he can stay healthy.

Sees three targets
Ogunbowale caught two of three targets for five yards during Sunday's 20-0 loss to the TItans.

Plays sparingly Week 9
Ogunbowale had one carry for one yard and caught his lone target for four yards during Sunday's 9-6 win over the Bills.
Analysis: Starter James Robinson (ankle) was inactive for Sunday's contest, but Ogunbowale played only eight offensive snaps, while Carlos Hyde dominated Jacksonville's backfield reps. There would need to be a significant shakeup in the Jaguars backfield in order for Ogunbowale to enter fantasy relevance.

Three touches Week 8
Ogunbowale had two carries for nine yards and caught his lone target for nine yards during Sunday's 31-7 loss at Seattle.
Analysis: Ogunbowale played a season-high 15 offensive snaps with James Robinson (ankle) exiting early Sunday, while Carlos Hyde dominated the snaps and backfield touches the rest of the way. Robinson is considered day-to-day and appears to have avoided a serious injury, but Ogunbowale would still only be in line for a change-of-pace role if Hyde were forced to be the fill-in starter.

Appears set in No. 3 role
Ogunbowale carried the ball twice for six yards and caught two of three targets for eight yards in Sunday's preseason win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: The Jaguars helpfully made it very clear what their backfield pecking order looks like in the team's preseason finale, as James Robinson worked the first two series of the game and Carlos Hyde got the third (and Trevor Lawrence's last), before Ogunbowale took over for the rest of the first half. Barring another injury ahead of him on the depth chart like the one that ended the season of Travis Etienne (foot), Ogunbowale once again could see more snaps on special teams than he does on offense.

Re-ups with Jaguars
Ogunbowale signed his ERFA tender with the Jaguars on Monday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Analysis: Ogunbowale played a depth role behind James Robinson last season, but with just 199 yards from scrimmage across 14 games, he wasn't a significant factor for fantasy purposes. With the offseason addition of Carlos Hyde, Ogunbowale's path to offensive touches has only gotten more crowded.

Ogunbowale had 14 carries for 50 yards and caught four of seven targets for 22 yards during Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Colts.
Analysis: The 26-year-old played all but two offensive snaps in the absence of workhorse James Robinson (ankle). Ogunbowale spent most of the season working in a passing-down role with minimal production, but he was the lead tailback for the final two games of the season, rushing 28 times for 121 yards while catching seven passes for 29 yards in that stretch. Week 17 start on tap
Ogunbowale is expected to remain the Jaguars' starting running back Week 17 against the Colts after head coach Doug Marrone said Wednesday that James Robinson (ankle) would miss a second straight contest, John Oesher of Jacksonville's official site reports.
Analysis: Heading into Sunday's 41-17 loss to the Bears, the Jaguars' plans at running back sans Robinson weren't fully known, but Ogunbowale -- who had previously been mostly limited to a passing-down role -- emerged as the team's clear lead option. Ogunbowale (39 offensive snaps, 17 touches) saw more work than backup Devine Ozigbo (11, two) by a large margin, and he was efficient with those opportunities, gaining 4.5 yards per touch. Impresses with increased role
Ogunbowale rushed 14 times for 71 yards, secured three of five targets for seven yards, and had six kick-return yards in the Jaguars' 41-17 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Analysis: Stepping into the lead role in the backfield with James Robinson (ankle) out of action, Ogunbowale thrived with his opportunity by putting together an efficient performance on the ground. The fourth-year journeyman had logged just four carries all season prior to Sunday and had never topped 11 rush attempts in any of his three previous seasons, so he was in uncharted territory in terms of workload. Potential for increased role
Ogunbowale could have an increased role Sunday against the Bears if James Robinson (ankle) is limited or unavailable, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Analysis: Robinson suffered an ankle injury Week 15 and was unable to practice all week, and he's considered questionable for Sunday's contest. Ogunbowale had a season-high 25 scrimmage yards last week on only 14 offensive snaps and has played a minor offensive role most of the year. Robinson has dominated the backfield touches for Jacksonville this season, so if he's unavailable Ogunbowale could have some volume-based fantasy value.

Totals 25 yards from scrimmage
Ogunbowale had two carries for 17 yards and caught his lone target for eight yards during Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: The 26-year-old broke off a 17-yard carry in the closing minutes of the contest but was otherwise minimally involved in the offense. Starter James Robinson exited late due to an ankle injury, and Ogunbowale would be the likely beneficiary should Robinson be sidelined or limited Week 16 against the Bears.

Works in No. 2 role
Ogunbowale rushed twice for seven yards and failed to catch two targets during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
Analysis: The two carries is hardly significant in the big picture, but it's still notable given it's Ogunbowale's first of the season, and also the first time a running back besides James Robinson has received a carry since Week 9. Ogunbowale was the only running back behind Robinson to play any offensive snaps, so he appears to have secured the No. 2 job in the backfield, not that there's any fantasy potential in that role.

Clear of hand injury
Ogunbowale (hand) was a full participant during the Jaguars' practice session Thursday.
Analysis: After garnering a season-high 13 offensive snaps in Jacksonville's preceding matchup against Pittsburgh, Ogunbowale was deemed unavailable to face the Browns in Week 12. He collected 303 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns over 46 touches last year as a Buccaneer, but thus far in 2020, Ogunbowale has been seldom deployed. He's registered just one touch on offense this season, as undrafted rookie James Robinson continues to dominate the RB workshare.

Considered questionable
Ogunbowale (hand) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Analysis: Ogunbawale played a season-high 13 snaps on offense last week and was targeted twice. If he's unable to play Sunday, it'll mainly affect the depth behind bell cow James Robinson. Both Devine Ozigbo and Nathan Cottrell stand to benefit if Ogunbowale sits out.

Catches one pass
Ogunbowale caught one of two targets for five yards and had two tackles during Sunday's 24-20 loss at Green Bay.
Analysis: The 26-year-old saw additional offensive snaps and had his first touch of the season with Chris Thompson (back) leaving early with injury, but James Robinson still dominated the backfield work for Jacksonville. Ogunbowale could see sporadic chances as the passing-down back should Thompson miss time, but he's unlikely to be much of a factor in the offense regardless.

Two tackles against Chargers
Ogunbowale fielded six offensive snaps with no touches, also collecting two tackles on 21 special-teams snaps during Sunday's 39-29 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Ogunbowale has yet to garner an offensive touch in his debut campaign with the Jaguars, after logging 35 receptions and 11 rushes for a total of 303 scrimmage yards last year in Tampa Bay. So far in 2020, James Robinson has dominated the running back workload by fielding 107 of the position's 113 carries and 32 of the 51 RB targets. Barring an injury on the depth chart ahead of him, Ogunbowale seems destined for extremely limited offensive usage.

Analysis: Leonard Fournette and Ogunbowale essentially swapped franchises earlier this month, as the former landed in Tampa Bay while the latter headed to Jacksonville after they were waived by the respective organizations. Analysis: If the move happens as expected, Ogunbowale would provide the team with added backfield/special-teams depth. The Buccaneers will waive Ogunbowale, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis: Ogunbowale appeared destined for a change-of-pace/special-teams role with the Bucs, but the team's recent addition of Leonard Fournette made him the odd man out, with Ronald Jones, Ke'Shawn Vaughn and LeSean McCoy also in the mix. It remains to be seen if Ogunbowale catches on with another team in short order or circles back with Tampa Bay once the ongoing league-wide roster trimming settles down.

Stuck on special teams?
Ogunbowale's special teams value could keep him on the roster even after the Buccaneers signed Leonard Fournette, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Fournette, Ronald Jones and third-round rookie Ke'Shawn Vaughn are roster locks, and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network suggests LeSean McCoy is still expected to have a role, potentially handling the passing-down work that went to Ogunbowale last season. It's rare for a team to carry five running backs, but it wouldn't be an unreasonable choice if Vaughn is starting the season as a healthy scratch and Ogunbowale is taking snaps on multiple special teams units.

Trusted by coaches
Ogunbowale, who is part of a crowded running back depth chart, is trusted by the coaching staff to handle a variety of responsibilities and isn't intimidated by the competition, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports. "That's kind of the way I've been, the story of my career," Ogunbowale said Sunday. "I've always been in competition. That's the way it's always been. I see everything as a competition. Us bringing in more running backs, that's just more people to compete with. Even before that, I had competition on my mind."
Analysis: Ogunbowale's pass-catching skills were on display last season when he evolved into the primary third-down back, as he secured 35 of 46 targets for 286 yards. However, that was far from Ogunbowale's only role, as he also carried 11 times, recorded a pair of rushing touchdowns, amassed 223 kick-return yards and logged 317 special-teams snaps overall as one of the captains of the unit. Ogunbowale was one of several Buccaneers skill players to participate in a workout with Tom Brady at Berkeley Preparatory School on Tuesday, Rick Stroud and Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times report.
Analysis: The Wisconsin product managed to carve out a steady third-down role in what was his second Buccaneers campaign in 2019, leading to a career-best 35 receptions and 286 receiving yards, as well as a pair of rushing touchdowns. Succeeds in passing-down role
Ogunbowale finished the 2019 season with 11 carries for 17 yards and two touchdowns, 35 receptions (46 targets) for 286 yards and 223 kickoff return yards across 16 games.
Analysis: Ironically, the talented receiving back wasn't targeted in the Week 17 overtime loss to the Falcons, the first such instance during 2019. However, Ogunbowale was successful in the third-down role throughout the season, logging multiple receptions in 10 games overall. Three grabs in Week 16 loss
Ogunbowale secured three of five targets for 34 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-20 loss to the Texans on Saturday. He also returned five kickoffs for 74 yards.
Analysis: Ogunbowale filled his usual complementary role, notching multiple receptions for the third time in the last four games and seeing five targets for the second time in three contests. The story with Ogunbowale is largely unchanged -- he'll log the occasional carry or two but sees a consistent, albeit modest, workload in the passing game.

Pair of touches in Week 15 win
Ogunbowale rushed once for three yards and secured his only target for 13 yards in the Buccaneers' 38-17 win over the Lions on Sunday. He also returned two kickoffs for 43 yards.
Analysis: Ogunbowale filled his usual change-of-pace role, but with the Buccaneers enjoying a rather rare comfortable lead from the second quarter onward, he wasn't as involved as in recent weeks. He also continued filling the primary kickoff returner role with T.J. Logan (thumb) on injured reserve and should see varying levels of modest activity over the final two games of the campaign.

Career-best receiving day
Ogunbowale hauled in all five of his targets for 48 yards and returned one kickoff for 26 yards in the Buccaneers' 38-35 win over the Colts on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Analysis: The change-of-pace back played a total of 23 snaps on offense in addition to his 19 on special teams. Ogunbowale's reception and receiving yardage totals were career bests, as he continues to develop into a dependable third-down/two-minute back. Gains 12 yards in win
Ogunbowale caught both of his targets for 12 yards and did not gain yardage on his only carry during Sunday's 28-11 win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: Ogunbowale rebounded a bit Sunday after Week 12's one-touch outing. Though he has just nine touches over his past three games, it's worth noting that four of them have come in the red zone. Ogunbowale remains capable of stealing a touchdown here and there, as he has twice already this season, but he better be right outside the goal line as he's averaging just 1.1 yards per carry this season. Next up is a Sunday matchup against Indianapolis' middle-of-the-pack run defense.

Reduction in playing time
Ogunbowale rushed once for 12 yards and failed to secure his only target in the Buccaneers' 35-22 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Analysis: The backup running back saw a modest 14 snaps from scrimmage Sunday, his lowest tally of the season. Ogunbowale's reduced involvement came as fellow change-of-pace option T.J. Logan saw a season-high seven plays on offense. Ogunbowale should continue to enjoy active status alongside Logan, with the latter also handling both kick return jobs and therefore likely looking at a modest amount of involvement on offense the remainder of the season.

Five touches from scrimmage in loss
Ogunbowale ran twice for no gain and brought in three of four targets for 10 yards in the Buccaneers' 34-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
Analysis: Ogunbowale saw his snap count from scrimmage climb to 29 due to the Buccaneers being in catch-up mode, with his level of participation qualifying as his highest since Week 6 against the Panthers. The third-year back has back-to-back three-catch efforts, and he's recorded multiple grabs in seven games overall. Ogunbowale's role figures to remain modest week to week as long as Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones are healthy in front of him.

Analysis: Ogunbowale saw T.J. Logan take the only running back carry that didn't go to Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones, but he was once again a modest presence in the passing game. Ogunbowale notched multiple grabs for the sixth time this season, and he continued to see his snap count from scrimmage remain over the 20-mark. Ogunbowale is slated for a similar third-down/pass-catching role against the Saints in Week 11.

Logs second rushing score of season
Ogunbowale scored a one-yard rushing touchdown on his only carry and secured his only target for 12 yards in the Buccaneers' 40-34 overtime loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
Analysis: Ogunbowale powered in from one yard out with 46 seconds remaining to erase a 34-27 deficit and notch his second rushing score of the campaign. The change-of-pace back has now logged over 20 snaps from scrimmage in three straight and six of seven overall, but the 25-year-old remains an option in only very deep PPR formats due to his limited touches.
