Plays just five snaps in win
Ajayi rushed twice for five yards and couldn't haul in his only target in Monday night's 23-17 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Ajayi got his first carry on the Eagles' third drive of the evening, late in the first quarter. His biggest contribution came in the second quarter, when he converted a third-and-1 for a first down, but he didn't touch the ball again. Instead, Boston Scott played the complementary role to Miles Sanders, seeing 39 snaps and having a huge game in the process. Things are only going to get more muddled for Ajayi when Jordan Howard (shoulder) returns.

Sees just two touches in loss
Ajayi carried twice for nine yards in Sunday's 37-31 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: Ajayi played nine snaps for the second straight week but saw four fewer touches. Meanwhile, Miles Sanders totaled 105 yards, scored, and played 62 snaps. With Jordan Howard nearing a return from a shoulder injury, it seems Ajayi's role in this offense will be limited going forward.

Gets six carries
Ajayi carried the ball six times for 16 yards in the team's Week 12 loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: Ajayi was active for the second consecutive game, but received his first touches as an Eagle in 2019. All told, he saw six of the team's 23 total rush attempts, with Miles Sanders doubling his workload. The majority of Ajayi's yardage came at the end of the first quarter, when he ran off right end for 11 yards. Though he'll likely remain on the team as depth, Ajayi could quickly be relegated to minimal game action if Jordan Howard (shoulder) is able to return for the team's Week 13 matchup…read more

Should see action in Week 12
Head coach Doug Pederson said Friday morning he expects Ajayi to see action in Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Analysis: Pederson did not provide any clues about Ajayi's expected workload, but it appears he could see at least some snaps after not taking the field in Week 11. The availability -- or lack thereof -- of fellow running back Jordan Howard (shoulder) will likely be a major factor in just how much work Ajayi ultimately sees.

Confined to emergency role
Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Ajayi was only available as an emergency option during Week 11's 17-10 loss to the Patriots, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Analysis: Ajayi was active Sunday but did not play any snaps. The 26-year-old reunited with Philadelphia just two days before the contest, but his complete lack of usage comes as something of a surprise with Jordan Howard (shoulder) having been inactive. Ajayi will now get the benefit of a full week of practices to acclimate to the Eagles' playbook, so there's a chance he sees a larger role against the Seahawks in Week 12 if Howard once again is unable to go.

Making 2019 debut
Ajayi is listed as active Sunday against the Patriots, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Analysis: Ajayi was the Eagles' No. 1 RB during the run to the Super Bowl two years ago, but an ACL tear suffered Week 5 of last season has kept him on the sideline until this point. There's a chance he gets into Sunday's game in the absence of Jordan Howard (shoulder), but Miles Sanders and Boston Scott are better bets to get snaps out of the backfield.

Set for 2019 debut
Ajayi is expected to make his season debut Sunday versus the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Starter Jordan Howard (shoulder) is expected to be unavailable and Darren Sproles (hip) is on injured reserve, so Ajayi should be active despite only signing with the team Friday. Miles Sanders is set to work as Philadelphia's No. 1 running back Sunday and Boston Scott figures to be the second man up. Ajayi has starting experience with the Eagles but hasn't seen game action since suffering a torn ACL in Week 5 of 2018, and the lack of practice time will likely keep him in a limited role early…read more

Links up with Philly
Ajayi and the Eagles came to terms on a contract Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Philadelphia and Ajayi quickly agreed to a reunion after he worked out for the team Friday amid the Eagles' mounting depth concerns at running back. With Darren Sproles (hip) shut down for the season and Jordan Howard (shoulder) uncertain to suit up Sunday against the Patriots, Ajayi could be active in Week 11 as a third running back behind Miles Sanders and Boston Scott. Though Ajayi boasts prior starting experience and has averaged 4.5 yards per carry over his four-year NFL career, his lack…read more

Expected to sign with Philly
Ajayi is expected to sign with the Eagles, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Ajayi is visiting with the team Friday, while Darren Sproles (hip) has been placed on injured reserve and Jordan Howard (shoulder) is looking uncertain for Sunday's game against the Patriots. It isn't out of the question for Ajayi to have a backfield role behind Miles Sanders this upcoming weekend, though Boston Scott is also in the mix. Ajayi, of course, already is familiar with much of the playbook and terminology, having played for the Eagles in late 2017 and early 2018.

Meeting with Eagles
Ajayi is meeting with the Eagles on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Ajayi will visit Philadelphia, where he spent portions of the past two seasons. The veteran back has already worked out for the Cardinals and Lions this season as he looks to come back from a torn ACL he suffered in October of 2018. The Eagles are banged up in the backfield as both Jordan Howard (shoulder) and Darren Sproles (quadriceps) are nursing injuries this week, so a possible reunion with Ajayi makes sense.

Getting a look from Detroit
Ajayi is working out for the Lions on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Ajayi worked out for the Cardinals last week before they signed Alfred Morris and Zach Zenner. Coming back from an ACL tear he suffered Week 5 last year, Ajayi informed teams in late September that he was healthy enough to play in games. The Lions could use help in the backfield, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll view Ajayi as a legitimate solution.

Gets audition with Arizona
Ajayi is scheduled to work out for the Cardinals on Monday and Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: After hitting free agency in March, Ajayi has held off signing with a team while recovering from the torn ACL he suffered just over a year ago. Though the running back received full medical clearance in late July, he's spent the past few months working to regain strength and burst. The Cardinals will see if a healthy Ajayi still has something left in the tank and could sign him if he impresses in the workout and is able to pass a physical. Ready to work out for teams
Ajayi will start working out for NFL teams next week, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Analysis: Looking to rebound from last year's ACL tear, Ajayi recently informed all 32 teams that he's ready to play in games. It isn't clear if he's generating interest as anything more than an emergency depth option.

Ready for games
Ajayi (knee) has informed all 32 NFL teams that he's ready to play in games, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Ajayi received medical clearance in late July but wasn't quite ready to play in games. He now hopes to sign with a team, nearly a full year removed from the ACL tear he suffered Week 5 last year.

Feeling ready to play
Ajayi "is close to being game-ready," a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Wednesday.
Analysis: Ajayi -- who suffered a torn ACL in Week 5 last season -- remains unsigned, but now that he's evidently just about ready to play, he could be an option for a team looking to add running-back depth. With Saquon Barkley slated to miss time with an ankle injury, the Giants are one potential match for the 26-year-old Ajayi, who logged 1,272 rushing yards with the Dolphins in 2016.

Medically cleared
Ajayi (knee) received full medical clearance Wednesday from noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The running back -- who suffered a torn ACL in Week 5 last season -- remains a free agent, but now that he's been cleared, it's reasonable to assume that he'll draw interest from teams seeking to add backfield depth. Whether Ajayi vaults back into the fantasy conversation as the summer rolls long depends on his landing spot, but he's just 26 years old and his 1,272 rushing yard-effort with the Dolphins in 2016 isn't exactly ancient history.

Still hasn't signed
Ajayi (knee) remains unsigned, Danny Kelly of The Ringer reports.
Analysis: Ajayi was in contact with the Colts and Eagles earlier this offseason, but the former signed Spencer Ware while the latter added both Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders. There are still some teams with dicey backup situations -- Jacksonville and Dallas come to mind -- but Ajayi may be having a hard time drumming up interest without any assurances regarding his Week 1 availability. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, acknowledged in March that it would be a close call for the running back to be ready before…read more

Could stay with Eagles
Agent Drew Rosenhaus said Ajayi (knee) had a good visit with the Colts and remains in contact with the Eagles, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Analysis: Rosenhaus also commented on Ajayi's rehab from a torn ACL, acknowledging it could be a close call to be ready for Week 1, at which point the running back will be 11 months removed from his injury. Based on the current state of backfields around the league, Philadelphia arguably offers Ajayi the most obvious path to regular snaps and continued fantasy relevance. The Eagles haven't signed any running backs this offseason, leaving them with Corey Clement (knee), Wendell Smallwood and Josh Adams…read more

Talking to Colts next week
Ajayi (knee) has a visit scheduled with the Colts next week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: After joining the Eagles at the 2017 trade deadline, Ajayi cranked out 5.3 yards per carry, hauled in 16 of his 22 targets, and scored two touchdowns over the next 10 games (including playoffs) while helping his team to a Super Bowl victory against the Patriots. He entered last season as Philadelphia's starting running back, but his production waned as he dealt with injuries, the most serious being a season-ending ACL tear suffered Week 5. Any team that inquires about the running back will…read more

Headed for free agency
Ajayi (knee), who tore his ACL on Oct. 7, is slated to become a free agent in March, Paul Domowitch of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: The report notes that prior to Ajayi suffering the season-ending knee injury, it seemed unlikely that he would re-sign with the Eagles, given the projected salary he was pursuing. Now that the running back is bouncing back from a major injury, however, Domowitch suggests that "it's not out of the question" that Ajayi rejoins the Eagles on a more cost-effective one-year deal in an attempt to rebuild value. Meanwhile, fellow ball carriers Wendell Smallwood (knee), Corey Clement and Josh Adams are…read more
