Analysis: Prater took every rep during the Lions' first two practices of the week before the ailment limited his activity in Friday's session, prompting Detroit to give him a designation for the regular-season finale. Prater made a 44-yard kick and two extra points in Sunday's 38-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Prater has now hit 27 straight extra points, and he's connected on 23 of 28 field goals (82 percent). He continues to be excellent from deep as well, making six of seven field goals from beyond 50 yards. Prater could hit some deep bombs in Week 16 at Denver's high altitude.

Prater missed his only field-goal attempt and made his only PAT during Sunday's 20-7 loss to Minnesota.
Analysis: Prater sailed his one and only attempt from 45 yards wide right and he wasn't afforded a second field-goal chance at any point in the second half. Newly-installed quarterback David Blough simply had a much tougher time moving the ball this week against the Vikings compared to Thanksgiving Day against the Bears. There's at least a chance for a nice rebound in Week 15 if Blough can move the ball against Tampa Bay's 31st-ranked secondary.

Analysis: Prater was good from 21, 24 and 49 yards out, but the veteran went wide right from 39 yards on a windy day in Washington. It's unfortunate that miss wound up being the difference in the game, but Prater at least made history by passing Errol Mann for the fourth-most points in Lions history. Prater could have another busy day in Week 13 against the Bears if quarterback Jeff Driskel doesn't have too much trouble getting Detroit into scoring position.
